Well, this sucks
I got laid off today. The company is cutting out a technical department, so they had to axe an overheard person too. That was me. I'd appreciate any job dust you could send.

I'm still in shock. One of the biggest reasons I even took this job was b/c it was more secure than my family-owned no growth position. I thought this would be the start of my career with a solid company. I just got in the line of fire somehow. Unreal.
I've already applied for one job so far, and another soon. I wanted a vacation, but not this way.

Aw, mames, I'm sorry. I know how excited you were about this job and how hard it was for you to leave the other one! Try and think of it like this: if this didn't work out, it's only because there's something bigger/better you're supposed to be doing instead.

Although I am somewhat selfishly happy that you'll be able to nest more now. I have to make it through my last final on the 14th and then I might be a total PW too.

Confession: This was totally my second thought after "OH NO! That totally sucks!" This is how the scene played out --
Me (reading the original post): OH NO! That totally sucks! Well, I mean, I guess it's kinda cool that she'll be back on The Nest again more, especially since I'm unemployed/out of school as of next Friday and I have NO idea what to do with myself. No, that's a terrible thought! Bad Colette! Now write a nice, comforting message and DO NOT MENTION how evil and selfish you are.
But then you posted it anyway, so now I get to comment.
Haha. It's okay. I'm all about silver linings right now, and if daytime nesting is one of them, so be it. High five for the unemployed crowd! We'll be sure to shake up J9 again!
