Is anyone Gluten Free?

Since I found out I am pre diabetic and have been researching more about it, I think it would be best for DH & I to go GF in the new year (it will give us time to eat everything we already have that isnt GF).

Just wondering if anyone else is GF, and what your experience has been and if there are any tips or recipes you could share.

Re: Is anyone Gluten Free?

  • I found this blog on someone else's blog and the girl I found it on is pretty hard core GF and other things, so I am going to assume she wouldn't have this blog on there if it was not good.

  • Thanks Heather!  :)
  • I think (but don't remember 100%) that the $5 Dinner blog is mostly gluten free too.  One of the girls I work with has a son who is on a GF diet, so I will ask her about good recipe websites and blogs on Monday.

  • You like using the crockpot, right?  This site is gluten free (and will clearly specify if something isn't): http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/

Another thought....have you ever heard of eating "Paleo"?  DH has started getting kinda into it, and according to the research he's done, it seems to help with a lot of other health issues.  Paleo is also gluten-free, I'm pretty sure.  You can find tons of info on it with a quick google search.

I never knew that blog was gluten free!  Thanks for bringing that to my attention Carrie :)

I googled Paleo, and I have to admit I need my cheese ;)  Thank you though, maybe in the future I could try that.
