Re: Book Club Ladies - come in! (Need a book)

  • Have you read anything by Emily Giffin?  She has 4 books I think out and they are all really really good.  I want to say (in order) its Something Borrowed, Something Blue, Baby Proof, and Love the One You're With.  I read them out of order, and it isn't critical to read them in order, but I found it would've been a tiny bit helpful in keeping some of the characters and their stories together.  She writes very well and I found them to be written so well you didn't want to put them down.  HTH!

  • I was going to second pp with Amy Tan; I've read multiple books by her and they are all great!

  • "Hogfather" by Terry Pratchett

It's my traditional holiday reading. A little sci-fi, but hilarious! It would be nice to have something light to read over the holiday.

  • If you are open to a Holiday read, Jeff Guinn has quite a few books out that are good.  I have the following:

    The Autobiography of Santa Claus

    How Mrs. Claus Saved Christmas

    The Great Santa Search

I think that a few years ago I bought my mom and sister The Christmas Chronicles.  I believe the 1st one I mentioned is written from the perspective of Santa and they were all cute.

I second Little Bee,  I've gotten great recommendations about this but haven't had the chance to read it yet.

  • Hello ladies . . . is this book club open to new people?

My husband and I moved to the Cincinnati area about a year ago but I kind of suck at meeting people.

The book club is always open to new people, just PM your email to the OP so she can put you on the email list.
