Local shopping question -- recycled wood cutting boards
I bought a neat looking cutting board made out of recycled wood from a guy at an art fair in East Grand Rapids last summer. My mom has mentioned that she really likes the cutting board, so I'd like to get her one as part of her Christmas gift.
Unfortunately, I don't remember the vendor's name and I can't find online a list of the art fair's artists from last year.
So, I'm wondering if anyone is aware of any local stores selling locally made recycled wood cutting boards? I've checked Etsy and didn't find what I was looking for.
(I know this is totally a long-shot.)

I'll answer for Chymes - Try calling Art of the Table
Would a Bamboo one work. I know the Meijer Gardens had a vendor two years ago that had cutting boards. I'm not sure if it was bamboo or recyled art. I would try calling the gift shop.
Try looking at the Garfield Park Assocation art show list to see if there was anyone there that sold it

I might go with a bamboo one if I can't find the recycled hardwood ones that I want.
Great idea to check the Garfield Park art show! I didn't see the vendor though.
I'm so kicking myself for throwing out that guy's card.
This isn't local or recycled, that I know of, but it still supports a great cause and is handmade in the USA. I got one of these for my wedding & will be volunteering at their residential facility this summer:

Thanks! Those are beautiful. I'll keep them in mind if I don't find what I'm looking for.
