Re: Shannon
oh gosh. I will continue to send T&Ps for you and him.
Is he perhaps going to a specialist? Could he be full on diabetic and not just hypogylcemic?
I hope he gets it figured out soon. That sucks.
You know I was watching one of my medical mystery shows and this little kid had hypoglycemic issues, he'd go unconsious. He ended up having soem rare disorder where his body produced too much insulin causing a serious hypogycemic condition, there was a name for it. There is no cure though, no medication, just a diet high in protein and complex carbs. This poor kid though, it is so rare that the doctor who studies metabolic disorders had only seen it 2-3 times in his 30 year career. They had to do DNA testing to diagnose him.
Okay, I got way off subject.
Has he been feeling OK since his episode happened??
This was a double post...ish. I will just say special diabetic snowflake in its place.
I totally know how you feel. Before B got his C-pap for this SA, I would worry about him all the time. I would wake up in the middle of the night an wonder if he was still breathing....and even worse if I would hear him coughing or gasping for air.
Hopefully you can get some answers tomorrow and you can get some rest soon.
