Two souls but a single thought; Two hearts that beat as one

Re: Its Monday again...
I'm so sad it's Monday. I had such an awesome weekend. HH went away for 24 full hours to visit his best friend who lives a couple hours away. I encouraged him to stay the night and had all of that time alone - which I never get anymore. Before HH, I lived alone for all but 2 years in the past 15 years. Then when he moved in, HH worked nights and I worked days. Worked well for me. Then he quit work and went to school full time in 2009 and now he is home whenever I'm home.
Don't get me wrong. I LOVE being with him and look forward to coming home to him every day. But when I get a chance for some "me" time at home, I jump at it. I did some cleaning, wrote out holiday cards, wrapped gifts, did uninterrupted number crunching for hours (I'm geeky like that). All while I had a marathon of Jon & Kate Plus 8 going on Netflix, starting with the very first episode. It was such a great weekend!
Hrchick - my DH is on travel this week (left last night and returns Tues night) and while I miss him, I'm also excited to have a few nights to myself where ESPN Sportscenter is not the de facto channel the TV is turned on to...I can watch whatever I want in the evening, eat cereal for dinner if I want (and not have to worry about another person), etc. It's actually kind of nice - absence makes the heart grow fonder! But I'm also glad he's coming home Tues night, too, and this isn't a looonnng time apart.
I woke up from a dream this morning that I was being held hostage at gunpoint along with a group of other people. I'm doing a Freudian analysis on it that it reflects my feelings about having to go back to work on another Monday morning. Ha.
Oh, and the dog also had a nightmare last night! She sleeps on my pillow. Well, she woke me up with a loud "Woof!" like the kind she makes when she's worried. And then she sat up and was staring at the (open) bedroom door. So of course I had to get up, turn the lights on, and check the house to make sure nobody was actually breaking in! Of course all was well so I came back to bed, she seemed reassured, and we both went back to sleep. :-)
I don't go to work until 5:00 tonight. I'm working 5:00 PM until 1:00 AM tonight and tomorrow because we're open late for finals and I'm the one who had this brilliant idea in the first place-- back when I was 23 and fresh out of grad school and still used to hitting up the bar for wings after a night class. It's not quite as fun anymore, especially when I have a half-hour drive home, there is no legal close parking to my building, and there is snow on the roads.
So I'll be hanging around the house for a few hours, getting my stuff together, and then running a few errands on my way in to work, where I will brew pot after pot after pot of coffee for the "kids." We set out free coffee, tea, and cookies for them, along with some popcorn in the one study room and some coloring books and crayons for stress relief.
Wooohooo HRchick I bet you got so much done!
I do get a few hours alone without Bernie but am totally excited about not having him at home on Friday. I get to stay in my jammies and play on my stuff watch trash tv and enjoy every second of it!
Monday's are Monday's you just have to suffer through them. I am struggling right now because I think I am getting a head cold but hoping it is all just in my head. HAHA!
There is always so much to catch up on here because I don't often get online at all on the weekends! But I did get my first Nestie Card woooohooo!!!
