Happy Monday, Ladies! I hope that you all had amazing weekends!
NYC was fantastic! There is literally nothing I don't love about that city, especially at this time of the year :-) It never ceases to amaze me, coming from a relatively small town, how many folks there are there, especially late at night!
"Rock of Ages" was superb, and my girlfriend and I sang and had a ball along with everyone else in the theatre...and now I can't get "Sister Christian' out of my head...lol
It was also nice that when I got home on Sunday afternoon, H had already put up the outside Christmas lights...yeah baby! No standing outside freezing and putting up lights for me this year :-) Although I shouldn't get too happy, because I know I'll be out there helping to take them down...
My Ravens lost a close one to them Steelers (Boo!), but otherwise, it really was a very nice weekend...and how were your weekends, ladies???
Re: ...and how was your Weekend???
this was the best weekend I have had in a long time! Friday we had a few friends over for latkes and matzo ball soup (yes I know it's not really a Hanukkah food but I love it so I don't care!). Saturday we got our Christmas tree and some eggnog and spent the evening decorating and listening to Christmas music.
Yesterday we went to Miami for the Browns-Dolphins game (DH is from Cleveland). It was my first NFL game and so so soooo much fun!
Now i'm on my 3rd cup of coffee and still exhausted, but it was totally worth it

Yay!!! A good bonus, a new 50 inch, and a Doggie??? That is what I call a darned good weekend :-) You have to post a picture of Fritz as soon you can, so that we can properly "ooh and ahh" over him! Woo hoo!!
We had a good weekend. Friday night we made homemade pizza and watched a movie at home. Saturday I went shopping with MIL and SILs for our annual Christmas shopping trip. MIL also got hubby's birthday present and he is going to flip when he gets it. She got him a guitar which he's been wanting forever. Sunday we did laundry and I wrapped the rest of the Christmas gifts. Then we bummed around watching tv and playing Wii. Overall, it was a great weekend.
Saturday DH and I did our Christmas shopping in the city. We took care of our mom's, my dad, and my sister. All we really have left is his paternal uncle, something for my grandmas and another small something for my aunt/uncle.
Saturday night we celebrated my friend Rene's b-day I got to spend some quality time with (his son) my little man Gus who is getting WAY too big just in a he's growing so fast sort of way. But he's all awake and alert and freakin cute!
Sunday DH and I packed all day but in separate rooms haha its safer that way! Then went to my mom's house to celebrate my grandma's 91st b-day!
Friday was a blast with margaritas and dancing to the Ying Yang Twins (live!) To the windows to the walls...til the sweat.... you get the idea!
Saturday was pretty low key. I took the dogs to the dog park and they had a blast. Ran their little butts off for over an hour straight! I decorated the tree and started working on a t-shirt for Wally. We were in bed by 9:30!
Sunday we took another trip to the dog park so DH could see Wally run. Watched the Packer game, DH had to go to work so I took the dogs for a walk, did some sewing, cleaned the house, and worked out.
It was a nice weekend but would have been better if DH didn't have to work!

My weekend was pretty good. On Friday night I just chilled at home while DH went out with friends in NYC. Saturday morning when we woke up it was freezing in our apartment. Turns out our heater stopped working overnight and it was 57 degrees in the apartment... brrr. The landlord didn't come to fix it until 2 PM, in the mean time I laid in bed reading, wearing a sweatshirt/ sweatpants, with 2 blankets and 3 cold cats on top of me. I finally got up when the heat kicked back in and took care of my usual Saturday stuff.
Sunday was my family's Hanukkah gift exchange/party. It turns out every member of my immediate family got a Kindle this year and DH and I got some other fun stuff. We had some latkes, lit the menorah, it was fun. When we got home we watched the Cowboys game on the DVR - I already knew they won but DH had turned off his phone because he didn't want to know, so it was fun watching his reaction as it all played out.
TTC #1 since 4/10, Dx: MFI IVF planned for April/May
What?? The Steelers ended up coming back?? I fell asleep....
I love NY too but Mike hates it. I think I'll have to go with my sister when I fulfill my dream of Christmas shopping there someday!!
Weekend was good - I tried getting some shopping done Saturday but other than groceries I just didn't feel like it. I needed some rest time because I had 2 parties yesterday; which instead of resting I wrapped gifts while watching Christmas cartoons.
After church and dinner with my parents, H and I rented "Brooklyn's Finest." Good movie but a partial bummer ending.
Yesterday was lunch with my closest girl friends at PF Chang's, followed by a small get together for a longtime childhood friend's birthday at an arcade and dinner at a local Mexican restaurant with her family.
