So we hung out xmas lights outside......

and broke a window in the process!! OOOPPPS!   We were working on hanging the last lights around the last window in the front out of our house and then ladder slipped with Jay on it!!!  And the ladder went right through the upper pane of the window.

Poor Jay is distraught about it. I said the only thing that matters is that you are ok. He didn't get cut or fall off.  Luckily we have that plastic you put on windows to keep the heat in because our windows are old.  So I said we will put the plastic up and then decide what to do about the window.  Relax its not a big deal.

He said he feels like Clark Griswold! Poor guy- thank god he isn't married to my mother because she would have had a freaken heart attack, She freaks about stuff like this, all I could do was laugh after I saw he was ok.

  • Yikes! Glad he's ok. That really sucks you'll have to shell out money for a new window, but maybe you could get a better one and think of it as an upgrade? How do the lights look!?

  • Oh my! Glad he's okay! :)

LOL! I'm glad he's okay. Much easier to replace a pane of glass than, like, an arm.

  • the lights look good, lol

i said we can either just replace that window (which would look silly because our windows are really old) or instead of doing the back of the house first since its the drafty part, we can get a quote on the front of the house.   For now, its sealed in that tight clear plastic.  so at least it doesnt look bad,

  • HAHA! I'm glad the window fell INTO the house rather than backwards! Oh my goodness!

  • Atleast he is ok.. Windows are replaceable.

  • Awww, Jay is turning into Adam!!!  haha.  Just think... if you were married to Adam instead, you probably would have had to take him to the emergency room for like 17 stitches or a broken arm or something!!  I'm glad he's ok!!
