How is everyone today? We had a fairly productive weekend. Derek started painting up our giant stairwell (which is awesome, the peach is slowly disappearing), we ordered our hardwood floor and Derek did more sub-floor prep. Lots of mess, but good progress.
We've got a bit of snow on the ground today, which is fabulous, now I just need some more.
How was everyone's weekend?

We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?

Re: Good Morning!
Good morning everyone. I had a pretty good weekend. Our Hanukkah party on Saturday went off without a hitch. B and I spent most of Saturday cooking and eating. I love old school Jewish food, but I'm glad we only cook like this once a year. We tried a new recipe this year after learning last minute that B's step-brother and his gf were bailing on our party without explanation. Honey glazed raisin doughnuts, mmmmm: http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Honey-Glazed-Doughnuts-with-Raisins-and-Pine-Nuts-236796 (not quite sure how to make it clicky, sorry).
Now I'm off to the vet to drop off something for the kitties and then the dry cleaners and the office, hopefully all before 8:30. Hope everyone has a good day!
Good morning ladies. I hope everyone had a great weekend.
Mine was rather unproductive. I ended up having a pretty lazy weekend, and I will honestly say, I loved it. Friday night DH had a friend over to play cards so I had night time duty with the boys.
Saturday DH tried to let me sleep in, but I could hear them downstairs so I was up pretty early. Oh well at least he tried. The rest of the weekend was cleaning, finishing the planning for DH's graduation party, and laundry.
Morning! I'm only working 2 1/2 days this week, so I am slammed at work trying to get a weeks worth of work done in half the time. Gonna try to make it to the post office on my lunch break to mail my SS gift. Have a great day ladies!
Hello ladies. We had a totally touristy weekend with MIL in town - went out for real British food on Friday night, went to Westminster Abbey and the Churchill Museum and War Rooms (fabulous!) on Saturday, followed by a walk along Regent/Oxford stree for the Christmas lights and then going to see The Mousetrap on Sat night (wonderful Agatha Christie play). On Sunday, we went to the National Gallery and wandered around Trafalgar Square and by Buckingham Palace before going for proper Afternoon Tea with some friends. We haven't been that active in weeks, but it was great, and I think MIL enjoyed herself.
Now back at work, trying to make myself look busy when I'm really not. Ugh.

Good morning!
I had a great, but busy, weekend with my parents. German Christmas market, brunch, a play, Christmas shopping, dinner out. I'm sooo tired! But, with only 10 school days left to go, I'm really getting excited for being home for Christmas! I can't wait to do some baking, decorate the tree and spend 2 weeks sleeping in!

Heyy-yooo
weekend was good, mainly lazy. Friday night we went out to dinner with my dad and stepmom, told them the news. I think my dad is shocked, but super excited too, which is good because normally its super hard to read his emotions.
Saturday we ran some errands and finally got the lights up outside. Then we brought dinner over to my MIL and then came home made eggplant parm subs (yum!) and watched Eclipse
Yesterday I just laid around, it was wonderful. I hope today doesn't drag, but I know it will

Good morning.
Saturday was spent convincing a friend that her (now ex) boyfriend doesn't deserve her if he wants to hit her. I packed up her house and moved her out, it was hell doing it. She lived on the top floor of an apartment building and I had the kids both with me, I was tired by the time I was finished. So yesterday, I didn't leave my house at all. I didn't do a darn thing.
Good morning!
It is officially what I refer to as "stupid cold" here this morning (it was yesterday, too). Time to break out the wool coat.
Saturday I finished 99% of my Christmas shopping. I got Jim a recliner for Christmas and he already has it, but I want a little something for him to open on the 25th. That's the only thing I still need to get.
Sunday I baked 15 dozen cookies for our open house the weekend. Other than that, it was a normal groceries and laundry kind of weekend.

Good morning! Hope everyone's well. This weekend was cold, inside and outside: our radiators aren't giving off any heat, so I shot an email to our condo people to hopefully fix that. I did manage to stay warm on Saturday by baking all day--it was a Mexican orange sugar cookie. Nothing I'd ever heard of, but I decided to give it a try. Not bad, but they're not great fresh out of the oven. Gotta let them sit, then they're tasty.
Sunday was a gym day, kind of lazy, got lots of reading done. Nothing too special, but a pretty restful weekend.
My weekend was super busy.
Saturday was our friend's Dad's funeral. It was the first 'parent' funeral I had been to since my Mom's so that was emotional for many reasons. Then at night I had a work Christmas party.
Yesterday was my Rite of Acceptance at the church for RCIA. DH and I then went to Costco, an open house and then the gym. ILs invited us for dinner so that was nice. I just hated hearing the exact same stories from MIL that she had told us the day before at the funeral luncheon.
Today is going to be so busy with running around. I think I'll get my SS sent out today, too!
Good morning, ladies! DH was sick over the weekend, so we didn't do much. That's ok - I wanted to stay home and read, and enjoy the fireplace. I only have 8 workdays left in the year - woohoo!! But a lot of work to do in those 8 days.
Have a great day, everyone.
Today is Sean's first day back at work, I'm home alone today. It's not going well.
I have to try to go to class tonight because there's a project due tonight that can't be turned in electronically. I'm trying to pull it together for that.
Like Raynes there's finally snow on the ground here too, and Sully is loving it. Every time he comes in he has snow stuck in his beard, it's very cute, but very messy.
Last night, we headed out to my ILs' place for dinner. It was snowing. On the highway, we were in the left lane, and we must have hit a patch of black ice or something. The car started swerving and V lost control. We ended up spinning around and ended up in the middle lane. Thank goodness the other cars were a good distance behind us and we got out of that without so much as a scratch.
Today, I'm thankful to be alive, to be honest.

I had a great weekend. I did almost all my Christmas shopping. Except DH ruined my secret Santa gift for his family by telling his brother what I bought another member of the family. It's supposed to be a surprise.
I also got an awesome jacket from the Puma store. They had a 40% off coupon for friends and family + an additional 30% off sale items. I love sales.
Other than that kept warm. I made some beef stew and watched some movies. It was a relaxing weekend.
Happy Monday. I have a super case of the Mondays today, though. My sleep schedule hasn't really gotten fixed yet, so I was up until about 4 last night and then woke up for 6:30 for work this morning. I feel super sick due to no sleep. I can't stand this insomnia nonsense. Mandee..I don't know how you do it either. I'm trying to avoid drugs, because my body likes to be dependent on things like that, and with TTC now, I don't want any more meds in my system than are necessary.
Yesterday I finally baked Christmas cookies, but managed to burn all of the gingerbread ones but 5. Tonight I'll have to bake some vanilla sugar cookies to use the frosting I made for the gingerbread.
I woke up to some small flurries this morning, but still nothing sticking.
Oh, and DH decided I get a new car for Christmas. I'm waiting for the phone call of when the pretty thing will be in town for me to test drive. I'll hopefully post pictures when I finally get it. Hello AWD!
Good morning! My weekend was pretty good. Friday night we had our office Christmas party, it was a lot of fun but I was surprised at how drunk and slutty a lot of my coworkers got. It's a little weird seeing them this morning to be honest.
Saturday was a lazy day, I did some laundry and watched a few Christmas movies. Sunday I made some delicious crockpot chile and put up all my Christmas decorations.
Good Morning!
I had a very productive weekend of Christmas shopping with SIL. We also took our Christmas card photos and got them ordered. I didn't get my cookies baked yet so will be working on those tomorrow.
I hope everyone has a great week!
Good morning!
This weekend was fairly busy. Saturday I had pictures with my moms side of the family and then a family Christmas party then a friends Christmas party, all of which were a good time.
Yesterday we did more pictures for my dads side. Now I'm done with pictures, thank goodness! Then it was just grocery shopping and a movie with J.
This week is finals and then a break from school for a few weeks, yay! I need to finish shopping and start wrapping. My cousins and I are also going to be helping our Grandma get ready for Christmas, she has to have surgery on Wednesday.
Yikes! Glad you guys are ok. I am deathly afraid of hitting ice on the road and losing control.

Oh my goodness that must have been terrifying! Time for some snow tires? I'm glad you guys are ok.

I had a good weekend full of birthday celebrations. Friday night Kyle took me out for dinner and drinks. We went to a local restaurant that I really enjoy.
Saturday, I cleaned house all afternoon long. My mom got to my house around 5:00 and I had just finished cleaning. Then we had dinner and met some friends out in town for some birthday festivities. Another one of my friends turned 30 the day before me, so we had a joint celebration.
I spent most of yesterday recovering from all of the fun.
I'm so glad you guys are okay!
I spent the time I wasn't working hunched over the sewing machine on Friday and Saturday... I finished these pretties and got them wrapped up!
Yesterday we went to a small town called Canton that does a huge craft fair/flea market type thing on the weekend before the first Monday of each month... We love it, and we also visited the Fiestaware "Dish Barn" while we were there and I got the red stovetop salt and pepper shakers I have been drooling over.

Yeah that's the thing, we had just put in snow tires! When we passed that spot on the way home, there was a massive pile-up. It must've just been a particularly slippery spot.

This is why I hate winter. Glad to hear you guys are okay.
Glad to hear everyone is ok. That is the thing with ice there is nothing you can do. This happened to me when I owned my blazer. I was creeping up a hill, hit a patch of ice, did a 180 and was facing the care behind me, then slid off the road into a tree. It sucks! I now drive white knuckled in the snow.
ringy - so glad you're both doing okay! That sounds so scary.
I had a nice weekend. This morning I had a doctor's appointment and got the results that baby is doing great and doesn't show any of the marker's for any birth defects. That was a huge relief.
