Best site for a blog
I am looking to start a blog so that my family and friends from out of state can see my work, hear my day to day ramblings, and get a little more of a personal experience than Facebook can offer... I am looking for your recommendations on a free blog, one that will allow me to upload photos, etc.

Wordpress and Blogger are, I think, the most popular. Blogger is incredibly easy to use; it functions much like a Word doc when you're actually creating posts. If you have a Google account, you can use that to sign in and access Blogger. It's pretty simple to upload photos, too.
They have quite a few templates to choose from for the design, otherwise just google "Blogger template" to get the code you need for tons of other options. I think you can also pay to register your own domain (like jesseswife.com) instead of using jesseswife.blogspot.com if you want.

I've been with Blogger for about 6 years now and have had my current blog with Blogger for over 3 years. Blogger is super duper easy to use and it offers a lot of variety when it comes to templates too.
I've never had an issue with them. I have been around Wordpress a little too but have found it to be a little bit more difficult for a beginning blogger to use.
