Baby Shower Gift Ideas?

Hi all.  My boss' work baby shower is on Thursday and I've been tasked with using the pooled money to buy her gifts from the department.  This is her 2nd child (1st girl; Don't know the name because she won't share) and she does not have a registry as far as I can tell.  Last I checked we have about $50 to spend but I anticipate we'll get more trickling in.

What would you suggest buying?

    How abt a GC to babies r us.  I know its not personal but that way she can get what she wants/needs!

    How about a spa gift card for a manicure, etc?  Since it's her 2nd, and she has not registered, it might be nice to get something for her to celebrate all the pregnancy.  There are lots of places that do prego massage now too and she might like that.  Or a pedi since it's probably not very comfortable for her to do her own toes anymore.

    I would go with a girl outfit or toy, something small, and then get a GC with the rest of the $$. That way she still gets to open something cute & girly that she will probably use, but also gets a GC that she can use to buy something she really needs.

    I agree with PPs that something to unwrap and a GC are good ideas.

    If you or someone in your group has coupons you could get her diapers/wipes from the bonus store or use part of the money to buy it. (Gotta support the stock!)

    At our work showers, sometimes the basic necessities have been the most appreciated.

    I reckon a really cute baby gift basket would be good idea. Perhaps something of this sort would make her happy
