What are you getting DC for christmas?
I am so stumped, all P wants is "baby nathan" (baby dolls) and she already has 236 baby dolls. I need suggestions on what to get
Re: Moms of 2-3 year olds
Beckett keeps telling me he wants Santa to bring him a firetruck he can ride on, so I was thinking a Power Wheels type. But what I've found so far is either more geared towards 12-24 months, or the one best suited for his age is $500+ and that is ridiculous. So I'm still trying to figure that one out... He also keeps asking for some walking toy dog thing he saw on tv.
For other stuff, he is a few getting board games (like Candy Land), some books, and a children's digital camera (so he can quit using mine as a toy). Plus I am going to do some practical gifts, like clothes, shoes, big kid underpants, pjs (he has a thing for new jammies).
There will be other small stuff, too. We aren't going overboard either, because he gets so much from family.
Isaiah will be 4 in January, and he is VERY aware of Santa this year lol. So, from us he is getting:
Toy Story toy (woody and buzz on a remote control car)
Imaginext Batman Cave
Buzz Light Year Stomp Rocket toy
High School Musical 3 plug in guitar game for the tv (he has no concept of HSM3 but LOVES LOVES LOVES guitars)
Bumble Bee Transformer Arm toy thingy to go with his Bumblebee Helmet
Lily wants a pink motorcycle. She is so weird.
I'm hoping (and pretty sure) that will translate easily into the pink tricycle that Santa is going to bring her.
Besides that, she's getting a floor puzzle, blocks, and this ikea doll bed that is FINALLY back in stock.
I'm going to try to keep it limited to just those things because my mother has lost her friggin mind going shopping for Lily. Example: my mother got Lily a tea set. She already has 3 tea sets, two of which my mother bought for her (one of them is at Nana's house, so I guess it doesn't count). Why did she have to get this one? Because it comes with toy pastries. ::sigh::
Other ideas, just to help:
--play kitchen, food, pots and pans, accessories
--arts and crafts stuff. Michaels has great stamps and ink pads (totally washable) for toddlers in their $1 section
--coloring books and crayons
--play dress up things like shoes, purses, etc.
--Lily loves her toy cash register (circo, from target)
My silly Lily is almost 4.
When my SS was 3 (he just turned 8) he liked beach toys, arts & crafts stuff (Stamps, stickers, crayons, kits), clothes of his favorite color or cartoon characters.... he also got a playskool digital camera when he was 4 and he really liked that. I think it was more that he liked opening gifts than the gifts themselves. lol
Craigslist for the firetruck?
My sister called me the other day bc there was a pink barbie jeep down in seminole she wanted to get for my neice.
My neice told EVERYONE she wanted a pink car for Christmas. I asked her a few months ago, and she is still telling people this. she is serious about that pink car
Uh K8, Lily isn't weird...she's awesome.
So far Quinn is getting board games (Candy Land, Hi Ho Cherry-oh, Chutes and Ladders, and Memory) and a Play-Doh cake making set and extra Play-Doh. My mom has gotten him Stinky the Garbage Truck, some Cars stuff, and a few books and puzzles. I'll probably get him a few other little things, but my mom gets him so much stuff, I really don't have to get him a lot.
My neice had a pink motorcyle when she was Lily's age, maybe a little odler. It was pretty hilarious to watch her ride that thing around the house.
My friends were having a hard time figuring out what to get their little girl this year too. SHe is almost 4. They took her to Toyr-r-us to walk around and just payed attention to some of the things she seemed to like.
When shopping for Aiden, the only thing I knew we were buying him was a kitchen. Everything else I went to toyr-r-us and walmart and just picked out some little things. His birthday is a month after Christmas so I didn't go overborad. He got:
R2D2 Mr. Potato head
Cat in the hat matching game
little playdo set
bubble bath set
a little pirate ship toy
I love my crazy child!
My Bio
I thought of this because I know other people who have gotten power wheels on Craigslist, and I looked. Once. If I only I could remember to keep checking.
