As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Was everyone else's internet with Comcast down too?
From what I've read everyone in the Midwest who has internet through Comcast had it go down last night as people out East had theirs go down earlier this week.
I was super frustrated. I take classes online and each week everything is due by midnight on Sunday. I'd done everything for my 3 classes except for 2 assignments, which I planned on doing Sunday night. I ended up having to call my parents and have them log into my school account just to find out what the assignments were and then I couldn't submit them till this morning. Thankfully my professors were understanding but I felt like a jerk saying, "Yeah, I waited till 4 hours before the assignments were due and then the internet was done."
Stupid Comcast. I hate when they aren't reliable.

Ours was down last night too. I had grades to enter and was feeling very productive, so it irritated me that I couldn't get online.
I am also a procrastinator...I wrote many a paper the night before it was due. Once my hard drive crashed....I was so mad at myself for not working on it sooner/backing it up. Did it teach me a lesson? NOPE!

Comcast makes me so angry.
I really hoped that AT&T Uverse would be available here in the Twin Cities when we moved so we would never have to deal with Comcast again.
Yup mine was down too. has anyone called to see if you can get some kind of reimbursement?
DH had also said our cable has been going in and out at night. That explains why some mornings the cable box is off. I am going to be pissed if one of my shows doesn't DVR because the cable went out again. --This has actually happened to me before, I have called to complain and they said they can credit my account some lame amount like .68, stupid!!!
Oh that is a good point I wonder if anyone has called.
If your internet is out and you call and complain, you can usually get them to credit you for that day's service. I work from home and Comcast does not have very reliable service during the day (that is when they decide to work on stuff and take the networks down) and every time I call in I tell them I want that day credited. It's not much, but at least it's "sticking it to the man" a little, right?
