So our internet at work has been SUPER slow today, which is sort of ironic now that our system has to be accessed through the internet. I have been trying to load a website since I got in so I can get a template from our HQ.
Great weekend, finished up holiday shopping Friday, tiled our fireplace hearth Saturday and yesterday DH put up the columns he built and the backerboard for the surround that we'll tile this Saturday.
Also FIL brought us a beautiful flower arrangement to thank us for hosting thanksgiving. It was sort of funny b/c he came by when BIL was stopping by to drop off something DH had bought for one of the kid's fundraisers. So we're like "Oh my what are the flowers for" and he said Thanksgiving and in my head I'm like see BIL if you hadn't left FIL alone last year maybe you would have gotten flowers.
Hope everyone has a great day!
Re: Morning! Weekend Recap
*Shaina* you guys are seriously doing so much I can't wait to see all the finished products.
My weekend was not necessarily the best. I was so out of it all weekend and had on and off nausea which wasn't horrible but made it very difficult to plan meals. I almost lost it when dh made peas and carrots on Saturday night. Yuck
To top it all off I broke out in a rash. At first I was so worried it was from the Lovenox but apparently I have major pregnancy brain and forgot that I am on an antibiotic right now too, I am hoping it was from that. I have never had an allergic reaction in my whole life. Love the timing.
Morning! Ours was good. We went to Delaware to visit one of my BMs who had a baby 2 months ago (pics are on FB). We just went for the day Saturday - Campbell was SUCH a good boy in the car and during the visit.
Sunday was just a laundry, bum around day. Nick hurt his back some how so he was a bump on a log and is off work today. He took Campbell to my mom's house since its hard for him to move though. I'm JEALOUS. I've been feeling lightheaded off and on since Friday. I'm not sure what that's about.
My weekend wasn't too exciting. I left work early on Friday and went home and did nothing till about 2am. DH had left that morning for NC for the weekend. It snowed there but not here. Made me laugh.
Saturday I got out of bed around 11, made cranberry bread and ate 1/2 the loaf, then took a nap. Went to a birthday party for a friend at 6, was home before 11, took a shower and went to bed.
Sunday I got out of bed around 10:30, did laundry all day, ran a couple errands, got my 10/08 Secret Santa gift (DH is mailing it for me today) and filled out all the Christmas cards (DH is mailing them for me today). DH got home around 10:30 last night. We chatted for a few minutes then went to bed.
Hola Ladies! I'm finally done for the semester so now I have a time to breath and Nest
We had a super busy weekend:
Friday - we took off for the day and I deep cleaned the house in the morning/early afternoon. Did all the laundry, etc. In the late afternoon we went to the mall to get some Christmas shopping done. Then bought our Christmas tree on the way home and put it up at 10pm at night. We then unpacked a lot of the Christmas decorations and stayed up until about 3 am chilling.
Saturday - woke up semi-early (thank you Daisy). Finished cleaning. Baked a cheesecake, ran to Target and BBB to get some last minute stuff. Went to church, brought my laptop to church so that I could attend a 9pm group meeting for my class. Found out that our group project that was due Sunday at midnight was completely done wrong. Came home from church and stayed up until 2 am decorating the tree and putting up other decorations.
Sunday - woke up early again, made pumpkin cookies, got the turkey in the oven and then while Nick got the house in order for our party, I basically redid all the programming on my group project for 3 hours. Went to the store and got last minute things for the party and some wine. Then people came over at about 4pm and left at 9pm. Cleaned up a lot (but not everything unfortunately) and stayed up until 1:45 getting Nick ready to leave for Japan at 4:30 this morning...
Can someone send me a latte so I can make it through the day?
Friday - I went to a funeral for my aunt's grandpa and then back to her house for an open house. I mainly just tried to help out with my mom and my aunt so that my other aunt could focus on the guests. Then, I came home and worked on bills and Christmas cards.
Saturday - Did absolutely nothing really. Drew and I shoveled the driveway and then I spent the rest of the day being lazy. I finished addressing Christmas cards.
Sunday - Volunteered with my mom and aunt at the high school for the talent show. It was an all day thing!!

Morning (or afternoon now I guess)! Had a great weekend, really productive. Saturday morning went to the craft fair with my mom. Got some stocking stuffer things, some yummy homemade foods, and my FIL's gift. It's a handmade birdhouse made from old barn wood that was found locally. Then went home took a nap, did some decorating and then my mom and I went to one of those pottery painting places. I was making a gift for my cousin's DH, and I also ended up doing something for my MIL. Came home late, ate dinner and then vegged and did a little more decorating.
Sunday I baked cookies, went to finish the pottery piece for my MIL and ran a bunch of errands. Ended up going to Target to go get more stocking stuffer items and some wrapping supplies. By the time I got done it was crazy snowing. My drive home in the dark was not fun. I could only see about 200ft. in front of the car, couldn't see lanes, just followed other tire tracks, and my wonderful DH, who had noticed that the wipers on this car do not do well in snow, never went out Fri or Sat to get new wipers for both cars. And at that point I was not going to try to have either of us go out to get them.
However I am happy that we will have snow for next weekend when we go get our tree!!! We've gotten a foot+ in the last day or so.
