What do you like to do when you aren't Nesting or working or sleeping? Have you developed any new hobbies since the wedding? Are said hobbies taking up space in your apt/house?
Discuss.
Re: What are your hobbies?
I really enjoy reading a good book. I haven't been reading as much as I would like lately, but it's all good.
Lately H and I have been playing more Wii. If there's nothing on tv we are likely to play Wii. It's fun because it's something we can do together.
We have been playing Yahtzee and Battleship on Family Game Night like crazy! It's so much fun. I think we'll probably end up doing this all day on Christmas.
I have a lot:
- Knitting/Crocheting
- Cooking/Baking
- Reading
- Running (Is this a hobby? haha)
I have an entire corner of the living room dedicated to yarn/books/needles. I need to go through it b.c it's annoying DH. HAH.

- photography
- crocheting and learning how to knit
- reading
- literally - selling stuff on craiglist -- it's become quite a hobby here recently as we're trying to unclutter our lives!!
I scrapbook and have a room in my house dedicated to this hobby. I don't have much time to create stuff. I wish I could open a store up North when I move. Besides scrapbooking, I enjoy going to the movies a lot. I should be a movie critic.
CrossFit is my big one.
I love to read, but I have not had much time for that since I have been in grad school part time. So I would not really count grad school as a hobby, but it is a huge part of my life right now.
I love Sudoku if that counts :P I have been playing that and Angry Birds on my phone a lot
I like to cook and bake but I don't have tons of time for that lately. At the moment paint samples and packing are my hobby.
However I love to work with my kids directing shows I'd say thats one of my main ones.
If I had more cash I would LOVE to go back to to taking riding lessons like I did in middle/high school.
my dh LOVES angry birds!!
Add mine to that list. He just got an iPod Touch and won't stop playing it. He wants me to try it because "it's so much fun!", but I refuse. The last thing I need is to be addicted to a game on his iPod.
DX: MFI
Taking a break from being poked and prodded
Reading is my big one, and it's only gotten worse since I got my Kindle, I can't put it down.
I'm also getting more into cooking and have been trying a lot of new recipes.
TTC #1 since 4/10, Dx: MFI IVF planned for April/May
Sewing! I have my own sewing room with fabric scatter everywhere!!
I also love to cook but don't a whole lot because I don't want to put on the weight from eating it all!
Shmel's Blog
Grad school has been pretty over-bearing, but I try to have hobbies too:
Oboe
Piano
Photography
Editing for non-native english speakers (but I get paid for this!)
I used to love knitting, but it's not as fun in San Diego when you can't wear the stuff you've knit around town

I love to read, and since the wedding, I've had much more time to relax with a book at night and on weekends. I didn't really have an itch for a Nook or Kindle until I saw the Nook Color! OMG! I think this will have to be my bday present in April.
Hubby and I go to the gym together, so we consider that our shared, healthy hobby! I also want to get back to taking weekly yoga classes. I miss it!
I also love to cook and bake, and browsing recipes and food blogs has become a hobby too!
I am recently become such an old fashion wife, I have been sewing a TON. I am not very good at it, but I its a lot of fun. I also love to scrapbook and can't leave Michael's without buying a ton of crap. The other one would be reading...but that is a small consolidate IPAD hobby.
Cooking/Baking has always been a hobby of mine. Lately, I have been trying out a lot of new recipes.
I have started sewing and crafting. I would love to have a cricut and a sewing machine, right now I do everything by hand. I have a huge list of projects I want to do.
I read a little each night before going to bed. I have so many books, from when I used to work at a bookstore. So I am trying to read what I have before buying anymore books.
I've always loved cooking and baking and trying new recipes, and now that I'm married, I'd like to try at least one new recipe a week!
But on the crafty side, definitely crocheting. And with a couple of new little ones arriving next year, I'm trying to kick out a couple of blankets by next Spring/Summer :-))
Reading, trying to sew, baking and soon hoping to learn to knit. Being an old married woman has made me a home body! Oh, and scrapbooking...I love doing it but hardly ever get any done.
DH and I's "together hobby" I say would be playing with our dog Lucy or playing our Playstation 3 Move that DH's parents bought us a few weeks ago.
Wow I am pleasantly surprised with how many of you ladies either knit, crochet or sew! We should have a PIP Wednesday at some point of a project we're working on . . . I guess we'd need enough notice to take the pic, upload and all unless we could find the original pic online.
Anyway not meaning to steal the thread . . .
I am a knitting nut lately b/c I'm making knitted stuff for Christmas presents since we're going light on the presents this year. I figure it's thoughtful, useful and not super expensive. I'm making a purse for my one boss now. I also like to cook and clean i.e. throwing out stupid clutter. I want to learn how to crochet after Christmas though, a friend taught me the chain stitch when I was in college but I have no idea now how it goes . . .
