  • That my grandma had a nice 91st b-day :)

That DH and I are still speaking to each other while packing our apartment and purchasing a house. Its stressful and we are both headstrong!

Thankful for DH's job and that he was rewarded for his hard work yesterday.

  • I am thankful that my boss told us we can have the rest of the afternoon off after our holiday luncheon today.

I am thankful that I am finally busy at work instead of having nothing to do all day.

I am thankful for my new Kindle. Love it!!

That DH and I are still speaking to each other while packing our apartment and purchasing a house.

I tell my hubby all the time, that if we made it through moving and renovating our house, we can make it through anything!!  It was definitely a tough, stressful time (plus we spent the first 3 months of our marriage with contractors every weekend LOL)

     Anyways....I'm thankful for:

    - 3 days off this week to finish Christmas shopping and prepping for my holiday party this weekend with friends

    - that there is no more hole in our ceiling from the leaking upstairs tub.  And I'm thankful that our homeowner's policy covered most of the repairs!

    -  my great raise at work!  it couldn't have come at a better time! now i can have a debt-free christmas!

  • I am thankful that DH's salary more than doubles now that he has a PhD - and it's still considered low, which means that things are only looking up!  We are used to living like students, so more $$$ should be fun!

  • I am thankful that I got a PROMOTION AT WORK!

And that my boss told one of the supervisors (who I don't work directly for and tells me lots of fun things) that he is working on calculating a biiiiig raise for me.

    Fa la la la la.

  • I am thankful for my family and friends, far & wide.

I am thankful for the little things in life... my husband: helping me with a craft project, bringing me red roses for no reason at all, making me dinner, and putting up with the christmas madness going on in our house right now... shopping/sending time with my mom, baking christmas cookies (a mother-daughter tradition in my family).

I am thankful for my job (even though I only work a few hours a couple days a week). We are still barely getting all the bills paid, but every little bit counts.

  • I am thankful for having the chance to hang out NYC over the weekend with one of my oldest and most loved friends! We were more like sisters when we were coming up, and she is a large part of who I am today. That we are still friends and still enjoy hanging out after almost 30 years is a very wonderful thing to me :-))

I am also thankful for my Hubs...I loved that he put out the lights just because he knew that I love to come home to a festive house over the holidays! He could just make do with a wreath on the door, but he indulges the kid in me, and I am so thankful for him for doing that!

And yes, I am thankful for having a job that I enjoy coming into. It can be a bit stressful at times, due to the nature of the deals that we work on, but it is also a high reward environment as well. And that balance is very good :-)

  • I am thankful that DH passed his college entrance exam.

Also thankful that I have a four day week so I can go shopping with my mom and sister!

  • I am thankful for heat.  It's really cold here today and I really don't have any desire to be outside.

I am also thanful for having the oppurtunity/time to actually make Christmas cookies this year.  I haven't done it in so long (if ever) that it's really kinda nice.

  • Congrats to all the ladies and DHs who got a raise!! What a nice way to start the holidays!

I am thankful for a lot from this last week through this week:

DH and his willingness and ability to spend lots of time figuring out what was wrong with my car, taking it to the shops to test the battery, to test the alternator, then price out the least expensive but ok quality alternator and serpentine belt, pick them up and install them himself, saving me $400 compared to if the shop would've replaced it! He is awesome!! I am selling it so it really needed to be fixed!

Going to real estate class has given me lots of time to work on my knitted gifts and I don't know how I would've gotten all these things done without it and an instructor who doesn't mind it.

Yay for a holiday luncheon on Friday this week at the Country Club with Steak, an open bar, and an early afternoon dismissal for the day!

    Whew!

Oh and a hot tub even though its freezing outside it will feel great b/c I am so stiff from this weekend's activities- includes working (kneeling crouched over on the floor for HOURS) on a "Ruffle Rug" for SD that she didn't finish last year (a Christmas present) so I finished it for her and I've wrapped it up and will give it to her this year :-)
