What do you think of this Groupon (Beer Brewery)?

It sounds like fun, but I'm still hesitating. It sounds like a fun date night. The Pub's website doesn't seem to mention tours, I find that odd. WDYT?

Re: What do you think of this Groupon (Beer Brewery)?

  • I'm going to get it.  It will be a nice surprise for DH and even if the tour consists of a few free beers I think it is worth it!
  • It's possible that they're just starting they're tours, and the Groupon is a way to garner interest. I will say, though, that most brew tours I've seen are during the day, so it may need to be a day date!

  • After looking at the 'discussion' I have to agree with one question. . who charges for a tour? Aren't they normally free? At least the winery that we go to is free. . .is that not the norm or do you think it's because they're throwing in the cups?

  • I just purchased it for my DH, and got one for my brother too!  :)

  • I just bought a Groupon for BB itself a few weeks ago, but this would have been better.

The owner said this in the comments about the tours

"We will be doing tours Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday reservations starting at Noon and going to 7pm."

& apparently you get the 2 pint glasses, 2 full pints of beer in addition to the tasting of the 6 total beers. For $10 it sounds like a good time- & I am sure they hope you stay and have something to eat too :-p

  • Some brewery tours are free (i.e. Carolina Brewery), some you pay for your beer (i.e. big boss), some you pay for thetour (i.e. Red Oak $5).  I think that since you get to keep the glasses (not the norm) that this is a good deal.  DH and I go to lots of brewery tours.  He and my dad brew their own beer and my family is thinking of opening a brewery back home.  This seems like a good deal.  I didn't realize you got 2 full pints also.  Boylan has good beer too.
