New Carpet!

I cannot tell you ladies how excited I am about our new carpet.  It's AMAZING!  I'm even thrilled to have the fuzz balls all over the place.

For those that ever choose to purchase new carpeting, a few words of advise:

-Bring a large sample home and see how it looks in your home's lighting.  We have dark grey/nearly black carpeting, but in our home, with our lighting, it looks almost purple.  My dad accidentally bought my grandma pink carpet because it looked tan using a small swatch in a store.

-Expect to not find ANYTHING you are looking for until the very last box is unpacked.

-Carpet fuzz will be found everywhere, including your food.

-Rent, borrow, steal, whatever to get a shop vacuum and either insist the installers use it between the carpet tacks and the wall or do it yourself.  I couldn't believe how much dirt, kitty litter, sand, etc. had collected.  I am so thankful I borrowed one from a neighbor.

All in all, I LOVE having the new carpet.
