I miss checking in with all my favorite breeders (and non-breeders!) - I just can't keep up!
Work is absolutely killing me...and I may be taking on even more responsibility soon that has absolutely nothing to do with my background, and I most certainly am not thrilled about it. It involves money and numbers and I can barely count, much less keep my own checkbook balanced.
H is going to a 6-day seminar in Vegas in Feb and I am already dreading the thought of being a single mom for 6 days....not that I don't do the majority of the work now. But the extra knife in the side is that I could go with H if we had anyone to watch the kid for a week...but all our family is so very far away. Oh well, we probably would spend more money than we need to anyway.
I can't find any time whatsoever to focus on my jewelry, which H convinced me get back into. I have some vacation time I have to take this month or I lose it, so I'm thinking about using some of it for that and keeping the kiddo in daycare a bit, but that makes me feel like a lousy mom, so who knows.
Going to give spin classes a try starting tomorrow...we've been 100% slacking on working out, hopefully this is something I'll like - I think it will be. Otherwise I"m going to cancel the gym membership because we're just throwing money away and not using it.
Riley is going to be 8 months old this week - time flies! I think some of her preemie is starting to show because she hasn't gotten sitting up figured out yet. She's thinking about crawling, but hasn't quite made it up on all fours yet. No teeth yet either. She can stand holding on to something though, she isn't pulling up yet, though it would be a bit early for that. She's such a happy smiley girl though - we're really lucky

How are all of you??
Re: Hi girls...
Good gracious - Riley is already almost 8 months old?! I'm glad to hear that she's doing good - she'll catch up in no time. JJ didn't start crawling until he was like, 9 or 10 months old and didn't get the hang of walking until earlier this year.
Don't feel like a lousy mom for keeping Riley in daycare for just a little bit so you can catch up on some things. I don't do it often, but there have been times where I've been sick or just flat-out tired, have taken a couple of hours off and just slept before picking him up. It does wonders.
Good luck with the spin class! I've been trying to work out at home...I'm getting there. I have a goal of losing 10 pounds by Valentine's Day, and I'm gonna do it, dang it. I'd hit the gym more if I had a sitter for JJ, but since it's just me and him, I'll do Wii Fit instead.
This! It's great to have alone time. Nothing wrong with that! Plus, since you sell your jewelry, working on it is kind of a job, so you'll need someone to take care of Riley while you do it, and that's what daycare is there for!
Rodgers has always been very involved in taking care of Nate. Last summer, Nate and I had 9 days without him. I was apprehensive, but it turned out to not be so bad. Plus, the time went by so fast. You can do it!
:::waves hi:::
I can't believe Riley is going to be 8 months, were did time go.

Wow, I can't believe she's going to be 8 months already! I feel like you just had her!
I wouldn't feel bad about taking the time off to work on your jewelry. That's work too! Do you have to take on these other new responsibilities at your job? I wouldn't be so psyched about that either.
Nice to hear from you!

I totally agree. No guilt in going to do something to help your family.
Glad you are doing well - and WOW to 8 mos old!! How bout some new pics?!
All of this! Time flies!
Heyyyyyy girl!! I cant believe that Riley is already 8 months!! Time is really flying because my little one will be 9 months in 2 days!! Dont worry about the sitting up and crawling stages. She'll get it soon enough! Once she starts crawling, she'll be EVERYWHERE! So, I think you want to hold off as long as possible. lol.
Im sorry that your hubby is going to be gone for 6 days. Is there anyone that you're really close to that could come over for a few days and help you out around the house? Hang in there!! Those 6 days are going to fly by anyway and he'll be home before you know it!
Yes!
