How to clean? "Peel and stick" tile floors

After we put this floor in, we found out you're not supposed to mop it because of the unsealed seams!  Not very practical in a kitchen...have to hand wash it with a rag, avoiding the cracks.  Anyone else have this floor and any tips?  TIA!!!

  • I know you can actually put grout between the peel and stick tiles. I lived in a rental where the landlord did that for the bathroom. I guess it would depend on how deep the 'grout lines' were between the tiles, but you might try that!

Oooh, thanks!!!  They're pretty shallow, but I'm going to check into it! :)

  • I use a swiffer mop on the ones in our basement.  I think the "no mopping" is more "don't pour a ton of water on the floor and then push it around."  They should be able to withstand a regular damp-mop.

  • We have some in one of our bathrooms, and I use our steam mop on it.  No problems yet ;-)

  • Thanks, ladies!  I'm glad to know yours have done fine.  I've had my eye on the enviro-steamer mop.  It might just have to go on the Christmas list! Big Smile

  • However, I've heard that steamers can loosen the bond/glue - so be careful.
