Bittersweet Day for Me - work related
Today is the luncheon for my mentor who after over 30 years of government service will be retiring at the end of the month. Thankfully she's not really "leaving" since she's decided to come back part time to help with the backlog of contract close-out we have.
She is definitely more than a mentor to me, she's become a friend and someone I go to for advice on life.
I hope I can keep it together at the luncheon, I've been uber emotional lately.

At least she's not gone-gone! It's great that she's had such an impact on your life! Is this the woman they were being mean to the other day?
Yes. They have dragged their feet on a project for 2 years that she is the lead on and now b/c she's retiring they are trying to get it done before she goes and aren't being very nice about the whole thing. It's not her fault it's taken this long!
