Vaginal Health Question

I am wondering if this is normal or if I maybe have a yeast or some kind of infection? Often, if I shower in the morning by the time night rolls around I have odd white pieces of what I am assuming is dried skin/or dischage around my vaginal lips and clit. It is not painful and doesn't have an odor. There isn't a huge amount but it is kinda gross.

DH's opinion is that it is from chafing because I shave down there..

Anyone know what this might be?

Re: Vaginal Health Question

  • This sounds like the normal vaginal secretions that occur after ovulation.

Have you ever read any books about the female body that discuss how vaginal secretions change throughout your cycle?

If you're really worried, see your doctor.

  • Sometimes when your natural secretions dry on your skin it becomes kind of flaky. Also since you shave, there's no hair to absorb any of the moisture so it just dries where it is and might look like dead skin. No biggie.

  • Thanks for the reassurance.

I can let the hypocondriac inside me rest now ;)

  • Ditto what the PP's said, but it also could be drier skin down there caused from cold weather.  You'd be surprised how dry your skin can actually get in the winter!

  • Agree with PP. It could also have some toilet paper lint in there.
