Who do you give gifts to that are not family/friends, like the babysitter, mailman, hairdresser, paperboy..etc. How much or what do you give?
Re: s/o Gifts
Co-workers: Small gifts for the ladies, big plate of goodies for everyone to share.
Mailman/Paperpeople: Sometimes a little treat or a small (<$10) GC
Nail tech: Extra tip (~$10-15)
Vet: Plate of goodies. Maybe more this year since they've seen so much of us, haha.
We give our in-home sitter $50 GC to Kroger. No body else gets anything since I don't see them regularly enough.
Work is just a carry-in usually from all of us.
boss... something small (is: a gc or an ornament)
co-workers.... usually a plate of goodies or a loaf of homemade carrot or banana bread
my boss is Jewish and her bday is on the 14th so we are getting her something small and baking a pie.
I usually only get the girl i work with something small and i get a gift card to my hairdresser.
Extra tip for my hairdresser
Did the teacup candles for co-workers this year.
Goody tray for neighbors
Gift card for my son's drum teacher
That's it.
I used to get my garbage men a case of beer. Would run it out to them with a big bow when they came the week before X-mas. But since they don't actually do the manual labor anymore...I stopped.
Coworkers: homemade goodies in a tin
That's it... I guess I'm a scrooge.
