How many of you LIKE to clean?
From the SAHW post it seems like many of you like to and enjoy cleaning!
I for one do it because it is a necessity . I have to clean so we have a clean place to live, but I sure don't enjoy it.
It drains me mentally and physically, I have to spread it out during the week.
I do feel accomplished when things look nice though.
What about you?

Re: How many of you LIKE to clean?
I like vacuuming and don't mind most other things.
The only cleaning I don't like is scrubbing the shower/tubs
Showers/tubs are DH's deal, I don't MIND doing most other things, but I don't really enjoy it.
I don't mind cleaning...but what I really like to do is organize! We having been doing some house remodeling with the baby on the way and I'm in my glory organizing the new rooms! It does get harder though being 27 weeks along!

hahahahha no
we are getting a housekeeper when we have kids (1x/mo, just to mop/scrub the bathroom and dust).
I have to want to clean (and that feeling doesnt' happen that much). Like Emily, I'd love to have a housekeeper (but more for the sake of my allergies since DH doesn't really get dusting).
I'm horrible with the day to day pick-up of things. I have too much clutter I think.
I like to vacuume, that is about it, but I love the feel of a clean house.
I hate hate hate it.
I still have not convinced Pat we need a housekeeper.

I like it (ask me this again when we live in a house and have a kid). It is like my therapy and knowing I cleaned it my way (is this an OCD thing), makes me feel accomplished. I like doing laundry. I really enjoy vacuuming now that we have a Dyson.
One thing I HATE, LOATHE, etc, is doing the dishes. We don't have a dishwasher so DH is the dishwasher.

I actually HATE cleaning. I can think of a million things I would rather be doing.
Thankfully DH doesn't mind it most of the time. I do like the result of cleaning of course!
I do, or at least I don't mind it, haha!
DH and I get up ever Saturday morning by 8:30 and split the cleaning. We're done by 9:30 and then we split the laundry as well.
I usually tackle the bathroom, the kitchen, and making the bed. DH dusts, vacuums, and swiffers.
I like to clean the kitchen, I tend to do it very early in morning (I am a morning person) while DH is still asleep and it very meditative. I don't mind the other stuff, except for the shower/tub
I also love to organize and I am getting pretty excited about getting a nursery together.
I do it because I love a clean house. BUT, I feel resentful that it is what I have to do in my "free" time, which is so limited because of work.
I feel like if it wasn't cutting into my "fun" time I would not resent doing it as much, if that makes sense.
But no, I don't enjoy it. It is just a necessary evil.
This, exactly.
I also mostly do the cleaning because DH just doesn't notice when things should be done (execpt dishes in the sink, and even then he lets it go longer than I like) and it feels almost more annoying to ask will you do this or do that because he likes to play before doing work and its frustrating when I ask for something to be done but he won't do it until much later in the night.
When I'm home alone, listening to good music, and really on a roll, then I like to clean. I LOVE looking at my house and seeing it spotless. It's the tedious day-to-day things like straightening the kitchen or putting away laundry that I don't like. I spent all day Sunday scrubbing my house from top to bottom, and I didn't mind it at all.
I hate it. Not going to lie, we have someone come in 2 times a month to do surface cleaning. I talked Jonathan into it when I was pregnant and we just never got rid of her. I think he really enjoys it too.
