I decided on an IPOD Touch!!!
I know for a fact he wants one of these, they had one at his work and he kept telling me how awesome it was. and it was on sale at Target.com today for $204 and I had two coupons to use and a gift card with a bit of $$$ left on it!
I think he will be surprised.
I think he would have liked the Ipad but I think the Ipod Touch is a much more practical gift and will actually get used more by him than the Ipad.
Booze, it's what's for dinner

Re: I decided on an IPOD Touch!!!
I agree... I think the iPad is just a glorified Touch... I LOVE my Touch, too... I use it every day and not just for music. I'm sure he'll love it!
Our baby girl!!
After researching them both I really think the Ipod Touch is the way to go. I also ordered him one of those Ihome docking things with speakers from Overstock!!
And I forgot I had purchased him one of those Sharper Image charging pads and an Ipod hooks into it too!!
I am so excited to give him his gift.
When I get it I am going to charge it up, figure it all out, figure out how to get on our wireless network, maybe download a few Dave Matthews songs for him, a few apps he will love and then wrap it so it is all ready to go Christmas morning. Obviously the power will probably die out by then, but at least I'll have it all figured out so he can play around with it all day instead of reading instructions.
I got Phil one for Christmas 2 years ago and he still uses it all the time. Good choice!
BTW I said the thing about the iPad being a glorified iPod Touch to my husband and he TOTALLY insists it's not. Whatev....I have no idea but I couldn't think of anything else to get him for Christmas so he is getting the iPad!
