carissa, I dont' have your email to ask you about helpful sites/blogs/links for recipes that are WW friendly. I would LOVE any info you have!
mimi, anyway you could bring that recipe book we were talking about to the meeting next wednesday? I'd love to get my hands on that too!
both of y'all can email me at shanwalk2 at yahoo dot com if you'd like.
mimi: how'd your first day go on the program??? I came in at only 25 points. I had a feeling this was my problem... I eat really healthy when I cook and plan ahead... it's those last minute meals and eating out that have been sabotaging me!!! boo hiss.
Re: *carissa* and *mimi*
ask and you shall receive!
www.skinnytaste.com www.hungry-girl.com
and the ww site. Ive tried a couple recipes this week from there that are yummy. au gratin potatoes the other night, and tonight a layered mexican lasagna-- yummy!
flymanswife blog has great stuff too.
And if you havent found it yet on the e-tools there is a recipe builder. Where you can take input favorite recipes and it gives you the points. Then you can tweak it to lower the points etc for what you need it to be. If you didnt get the vegetarian flyer from the receptionist make sure to ask for it next week.
Did you purchase a scale? I have the old one and need to buy one that can calculate the current pluspoints.
and for future reference my email is findyourwayhomeinaustin at gmail dot com.
Carisa, I wanted to tell you a big CONGRATS for your weigh-in yesterday. It's very inspiring! And thanks for the recipe sites.
I came in at 33 yesterday because I had some leftover mac and cheese that I couldn't bear to throw away because I had used good cheese (damn you, bourgeois value set!). But then I took the dogs on a longer quick-paced walk, so I made up the points.
I went to the grocery yesterday night and got a lot of low-point stuff (WW string cheese, etc.). I am going to make the WW Fresh Vegetable Soup tomorrow and a low-fat chili tonight. I'll let you know how I like the soup. It gets really good reviews on WW.
And I will be sure to bring the cookbook next week. It's this one:

::Butting in::
That is my favorite cookbook ever! I've made bunches of her recipes and have yet to find something that I didn't like.
oh good to know! I'm looking forward to checking it out! (thanks, mimi)
