As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. A New Nestie Tradition: The Hands
I'm sure everybody remembers this beautiful statue from last year's holiday GTG. (pardon the iPhone pic) How could you forget these?
Jessica can fill in with the back story of how such an awesome statue came into her life as the best wedding gift ever. Last year, it found it's way into my home and it is time to share it with the next lucky Nestie.
We (Jess and I) have decided to make this a Nestie tradiion and with such, there are a few little rules if you should happen to take this beauty home.
#1 - Anyone who has ever had it cannot get it again, kind of like chicken pox. It is such a special item that it deserves to be shared...
#2 - Whoever gets to take this lovely statue home shall bring it to next year's GTG to pass it along to the next unsuspecting victim.
#3 - You cannot leave it at the GTG.

Now that's just cruel! We kept it packed away with the decorations so we knew it would come back out in time to remember to get rid.. err, pass it along.
This is so weird...when this was brought up the other day, it reminded me of some hands exH and I had received as a wedding gift years ago, which also ended up turning into a huge work joke and gift to be passed around every year at the Christmas party (also a white elephant). We started making it fun and each year, the person who had it last, had to add a little "something" to it. For instance, my boss had it and drew "tattoos" on them for decoration!
The funny thing is, they're the exact same hands that you have! OMG, I never knew another pair existed! The only difference is that mine were white and not pewter (or whatever yours are). How awful!!!
HAHAHA.
So glad this is so amusing to everyone. I couldn't wait to get those things out of my house!!
