Who's been? What do you like to get?

We're going on Saturday night for my birthday with a small group of friends (cousins, actually)... and I've never been. I'm kind of worried I won't like much, if anything... I'm a pretty plain eater. Steak and potatoes, burgers... I don't like sushi or any Asian cusine or anything like that. Can I just order a steak?

Clearly, I've got nothing else to worry about today when I'm worrying about what I'm going to order at a new place on Saturday night. This whole post is silly now that I sit down and actually type it out. Sometimes I just have to roll my eyes at myself. Confused

I haven't been there in years, but I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. The steak is really, really good! I always loved their fried rice and the soup too. I personally don't eat shrimp, but if you like it then you'll have that as well.

I don't think I've been to Shoguns, but I've been places like it. They have normal stuff like steak and chicken and vegetables.

Its one of my husband's favorite places to go. It's really nice, they serve you this broth with onions at first and then they follow up with a salad and then your meal when the "chef" comes. We went last Saturday for my husband's birthday and had a really sad chef. All of the other chef's were making their tables laugh and ours was really boring. Although he cooked really well and did all of the tricks. It was some type of Spring formal for some of the schools so there were a lot of kids in there all dressed up. They serve ice cream at the end of the meal. Have a drink, relax and enjoy it. I think you will like it. Happy early Birthday. Gift

And to add, they have steak, chicken and shrimp. but for me it doesn't really have that asian cusine type of taste. everything is cooked in front of you on the grill and they had some type of sauce to it and they give you 2 different sauces. My husband hates asian cusine, but LOVES Shoguns and Musashi's.

I ate at Shoguns maybe 2 years ago but I thought it was really good. DH loved the filet minion. I think I got the salmon that night and it was good. You don't have to eat sushi. They have other things there and if I remember correctly their fried rice was pretty good.

I love Shoguns! To me it really isn't "asian". There isn't sushi or noodles, so don't worry about that. Just good chicken/shrimp/steak cooked on a grill in front of you for entertainment. You get soup, salad, shrimp, veggies, (mushrooms, bean sprouts, onions, zucchini) your meat choice, and ice cream. You can also get hot tea as part of your meal. They do have a full bar, and they have a drink menu, but you have to ask for it.

I've been to one at a resort in Mexico. We were pretty tipsy before the dinner and the show part was good. The food was just okay because it wasn't flavorful...just grilled meat.
