What are you all getting your hubby for Christmas? I'm having such a hard time thinking of anything else besides games and dvds .

Re: Christmas Gifts For DH
Because we're going on an expensive vacation the week after Christmas, we committed to a $100 limit on gifts and $100 limit on stockings this year. Most of my gifts are in the $20 - $30 range.
That said, I bought him an iPhone (3gs) at the end of October, so i'm not feeling too guilty. He committed to buying me earring jackets for my diamonds for my 40th in October, but we haven't done that either yet. So, we're coming off some big gifts.
Still have the same problem. I told him last night he's going to be pretty sad when there is NOTHING for him to open on Christmas and he needed to give me ideas. I then suggested things and he said no, no, no and I said, see - this is why you need to give me ideas! You're going to have to tell all your co-workers your wife didn't buy you anything! I did get him some spices from Penzey's for his stocking...big whoop!
We're only doing stockings and limiting it to $50. He's getting a green sweater from Lands End Canvas that was on clearance, a knife set that includes one of those santoku knives he wanted that was on super sale black friday and dark chocolate truffles, which are a stocking staple.

My gifts were:
Sweater
belgian beer glasses (special shape for beglian beer)
ski boot warmers
a golf shoe/ boot scraper/cleaner
a foldable 6" blade saw
I bought Chet an inflatable life jacket from Cabela's.
We are putting down new flooring so that's our gift to each other this year.
Ben's birthday was just a few weeks ago so I allowed him to spend some money I had put aside to go towards the new computer he wants. I know it is lame but I am all about getting gifts that people actually want/need.
I also bought the Star Wars cookie cutters and pancake molds at William Sonoma in the spring so he will actually get to unwrap something. I bought the lunchbox too but I am saving that for next year.

I've only bought him a tiny screwdriver with a really long shaft and another screwdriver that has an adapter thing on the end so he can hook something in it and make it longer. I don't know.... he pointed them out to me at Sears and told me he "needed" it. I plan on putting those in his stocking.
We've been talking about things to do. We actually kinda need a new computer to run my editing software, and one of the lenses that I really want is going to be about $2000. He told me that he'd be willing to just do that for his present too.
I was going to get him a dog, but after last night and this morning, there's no freaking way.
