I'm going to a birthday party on Sunday for my cousin's two daughters. Lily is turning 1 and Avery will be 4. What the heck do I get them???
Re: Moms come in please
I always give some type of learning toy if possible.
This is what I do too and then something fun.
Little People are awesome. Also for the 4 year old my niece loves Disney characters
Do they have a ball pit?? That's something they can share -- I bet even the 4 year old would like it.
You could get them books. The best books for little ones have lots of rhythm and rhyme, small board books with bright, contrasting colors -- not necessarily story-type books. IDK what types of books 4 year olds like, but maybe some simple "learning to read" books? I'm sure they can follow a story better at that age. Also, at 4, they can start playing board games like Candyland.
What are Little People?
This. Books or some plush Melissa and Doug toys for the 1 year old. I've been told they like things they can put other things in so I got a 1 year old this Melissa and Doug plush picnic basket that has plush food items you can put it in (it's called Fill and Spill - there's several different kinds).
Books, games or puzzles for the 4 year old.
Something that plays music or makes noise!!!!
Little People
The 1 year old is too small, but for the 4 year old, the ladies on MM really like these: http://www.magnatiles.com/
Shoot they look neat to me and I'm an adult!
