I have baby fever and DH has what's left of a 3 year plan.
Not really an opinion... and it's only unpopular to him.
I can't stand the Elf on the Shelf thing that all of my cousins are raving about. I case you don't really know:
You read this book to your kid. It also comes with a little elf that you move every night so your kid thinks its real and will tell Santa if you are being good or bad. I have one cousin who leaves the elf out all year so her kids will behave. I think if you have to resort to using a toy to make your kids behave because the "elf" will tell Santa maybe you need to rethink your parenting skills.
I haven't been working as hard as I can. I KNOW I can do so much better than what I have been with my classwork but I am being lazy. I don't know at one point I will get to that makes me go, "okay, do more than merely 'okay'"
I think (not being arrogant at ALL) because I am a natural debater/talker that it is easier for me to fake working hard when presentation time rolls around. Either way it is annoying to me that I am being so lazy.
It's 10am. I have to be in my classroom teaching in one hour. I'm still at home in my fuzzy pajamas.
I have zero reason to be so demotivated. I got 9 hours of sleep last night. I literally only have to be at work today for an hour and 15 minutes, then I work from home this afternoon and Friday. And, the way I feel now, I kind of doubt I'll get anything substantial done those two days.
The UO part: I only feel a tiny bit guilty about being such a sloth (because normally I'm really good about being productive.)
My winter-break-itus is SO much worse than my students' this year for some reason.

I'm super competitive. I'm sure no one would agree or think that I am okay for thinking this, but I want my band to be the best performance group we have. I don't necessarily want to see the other groups fail, but because I'm competitive, I want to see my group do better than they do.
That's almost a Friday confession. We have our concert tonight, if you can't tell. They choked me up a bit it was so good in rehearsal.
