Holiday Party?

If you were going to a holiday party, and the invite said "Holiday Attire" what would you wear? I should mention this is a party with my husbands coworkers at their mansion, I mean house, and he has been no help at all in finding out.

Can you ask any of his co-workers. Otherwise I would just go with a dress. I would rather be over-dressed than under.

Holiday attire? GL with that! I didn't know there was a set "holiday attire" dress code. Unless they want you to wear your coolest holiday sweaters!

I would always much rather be overdressed than underdressed for things like this! So, I would probably wear a cute dress with a cardigan and a nice pair of boots or ankle boots. I would also dress up the outfit with bigger earrings or a longer necklace! Or even some bengals.

I was really hoping you would all say jeans! I knew you wouldn't and probably not appropriate either. The weather is forecasting rain and possible snow showers with lows in the 20's, thats why I wanted to wear jeans. I have a sweater dress with boots or red off the shoulder sweater with a snowflake broach (very Christmas partyish)

Glad its not just me that thinks holiday attire is funny...

I agree, I'd probably do a dress since its work people and you're not sure.

If it was my work people, I'd totally wear jeans though

Sort of related, some my teammates are throwing a new years party and requested festive attire. weird.

I think your sweater dress or off the shoulder sweater sound just perfect. When I read it, I thought of something pretty much exactly like that. Something sort of dressy, with a little Christmas sparkle or flare.
