Hi girls, I'm having a yankee swap with work friends tomorrow and I was wondering if you have any under $20/work appropriate but funny gift ideas.
September 25, 2010!
Re: yankee swap ideas
What type of a place do you work in? Would you be completely out of line to buy office toys? I am the queen of office toys - I have a magnetic stacker thing with little poles and guys that you stack as tall as you can without them falling, foam disc launchers, a marshmallow gun, a tiny Uno deck, barrel of monkeys, etc. Something fun and distracting for your desk is always a big winner with me.
Then again, people are totally okay with stray marshmallows and foam discs being launched over their cube walls around here. It may not be for everyone's office... :-)
Its like a white elephant one right?
I'm procrastinating on exercising so I'll go google some stuff.

Something like this would be on the top of my list:

I realize this doesn't really help you since you can't get this delivered by tomorrow, but this would be the type of thing I would look for.
Google has suggested:
one of those annoying singing fish
a 8x10 autographed photo of yourself
a large pack of batteries with a "toy not included" sticker
rubber chicken
a couple of cans of Spam
snowman poop (mini marshmallows)...you could add in some stuff for hot chocolate and a silly mug to reach the $20 mark
T-shirt that says "I went to the X company white elephant party and all I got was this t-shirt"
gaudy lawn ornament
ugly Christmas sweater
butt paste or anti-monkey butt powder
ETA: I just found a homemade one thats awesome. Someone made a photo calendar in Word and added pictures from peopleofwalmart.com. It was called Walmartians - They're Here!

Come work with me? My work bff left to have a baby a Summer 2009 and ended up being a SAHM...no one else in the near cubal vicinity is as receptive to random flying objects...
