Re: Christmas Questions???
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Whatever I have on hand. I prefer using gift bags because they can be reused and are so easy.
2. Real tree or Artificial? We have two teeny artificial ones right now, but someday I want to get a real tree. That's what I grew up with.

3. When do you put up the tree? As soon after Thanksgiving as I can.
4. When do you take the tree down? Usually New Year's Day.
5. Do you like eggnog? Bleck NO!
6. Favorite gift received as a child? Uhhh... I got a 10-speed bike one year. I'll go with that. Though getting a bike in Pennsylvania in late December is kind of cruel.
7. Hardest person to buy for? SIL, but I got the perfect gift for super-cheap and she'll never know that I only paid $6.35 for it.
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? I prefer to wrap presents, and I made home-made bows this year so I want them to look perdy!
2. Real tree or Artificial? We got an artificial tree this year; prelit. Majority of the Christmas's I remember, we had a fake tree too.
3. When do you put up the tree? Well we bought it this year, so it got put up on Dec. 1 when it arrived in the mail
4. When do you take the tree down? I think the week after Christmas since I'll be off work.
5. Do you like eggnog? I don't think i've ever had it...definitely willing to try it though
6. Favorite gift received as a child? Hands down, my battery operated white dog with a pink collar and leash that you could "walk". It was sold out all over Texas and my cousin who lived in CA found it and shipped it to my mom. Link
7. Hardest person to buy for? My mom or grandma...if they want something, they just go out and buy it for themselves!
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper for the stuff that I can put in boxes and Gift Bags for everything else.
2. Real tree or Artificial? We have an Atrificial. I have bad allergies.
3. When do you put up the tree? Day after Thanksgiving.
4. When do you take the tree down? First weekend after New Year's.
5. Do you like eggnog? No!

7. Hardest person to buy for? MIL.. She is just so damn picky and I dont get her taste.
I am so jealous of you! I freakin' love Shera!!!
My thoughts exactly!!!
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? I like both, just depends what I am wrapping
2. Real tree or Artificial? We have real because thats what Jay wants. But I would like artificial so I dont have to worry about needles and watering. And I can put it up sooner
3. When do you put up the tree? Since ours is real we usually do it the second week in Dec.
4. When do you take the tree down? Usually right after New Years
5. Do you like eggnog? yes with rum
6. Favorite gift received as a child? My American Girl Dolls
7. Hardest person to buy for? hmmm I would have to say my mom
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?
Wrapping paper. I color coordinate, and match the bows and put a lot of effort into it because I love the way presents look under the tree. This year it's going to be all white wrapping paper with big gorgeous red green and white bows.
2. Real tree or Artificial?
Real, because of the smell. And it was always a big production going out to the woods with my dad to find the perfect one to cut down.
3. When do you put up the tree?
First weekend in December.
4. When do you take the tree down? Between Christmas and New Years, although this year it will have to be at the beginning of January because we won't be home until then.
5. Do you like eggnog? Hells yes. It is my favourite. As a kid I loved it so much that my mom would stockpile it and put it in the freezer so that I could drink it on special occasions throughout the year. We don't do that anymore and I barely buy it as an adult because it is SO unhealthy, but I looooove me some rum and eggnog! 6. Favorite gift received as a child? That's tough. The last Christmas with my dad, he bought be a little gold pinky finger ring, and it meant a lot to me.
7. Hardest person to buy for? Dave, because he has everything and never wants anything!
Since you live in Texas and it is a local brand, do you guys have Promise Land Milk in Houston? If so, they make the most AMAZING Egg Nog!!! Their Midnight Chocolate milk is also delicious. They are both super thick and rich!
And I TOTALLY had that same dog! But I think I may have gotten it when I was living in Atlanta (ages 3-7). I loved that dam thing!
Oh yes, I LOVE Promise Land chocolate milk; I bet their eggnog is good! I will definitely get some next time we are at HEB.
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?
Totally wrapping paper! And just like J, I like to color coordinate and make them super pretty because I love the way the presents look under the tree when they all coordinate! And yes they ALL get ribbons!
2. Real tree or Artificial?
I grew up with a real tree and I've learned to love having an artificial tree. If we lived up north where they are more plentiful and we could go cut down our own, I would. But here, all of the tree sellers have these tiny little trees that have been cut down WAY too soon and it makes me angry.
3. When do you put up the tree?
Usually the day after Thanksgiving if I can.
4. When do you take the tree down? After New Year's (usually NYDay)
5. Do you like eggnog?
Yummmmm.... There is some in our fridge right now. And a bottle of rum on top of the fridge.
6. Favorite gift received as a child?
I was a very lucky child and I got A LOT of presents on Christmas ( we still kind of do) so this makes it kind of difficult. If you didn't say "as a child" I would say my Gucci bag and Tiffany Keys I got last year HAHAHA! Probably my Easy Bake Oven though. (I should have known then, huh?)
7. Hardest person to buy for? Definitely my dad!!! He buys anything he wants. It can be a week before Christmas and he will go buy himself something that he "needs".
Speaking of my dad though. Christmas of '89, my brother ran into my room Christmas morning yelling "Jenny, Jenny! Come downstairs! Dad got a RACE CAR for Christmas!" Ok... I'm 5 and think all race cars look like dragsters. In the driveway is a black '89 Porsche 911 Carrera. My response? "That's not a race car." And I turn around and go check out my Santa gifts (which were ALWAYS unwrapped) under the tree. I now know that my brother prolly meant SPORTS car. HAHA!
Anyways, my mom has banded all of us together (bro, SIL, me and H) to find Dad an '89 Porsche just like his (which he got rid of when brother and I complained about not having enough room in the back seat - sorry pops). He's always regretting getting rid of it. My brother convinced Mom we should find a newer model with the same details (color, interior, etc). So that is what Dad will be getting for Christmas this year.
your new nickname is "the rich one" lol
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Both, it just depends. Most of the time wrapping paper with coordinating bows. I am gift bag recycler too and use them mostly for items that are tough to wrap
2. Real tree or Artificial? We have had an artificial and I love it since it is much easier to take care of, but I would like a real one every so often because I love the smell and the whole trip of going to get the tree
3. When do you put up the tree? The weekend after Thanksgiving
4. When do you take the tree down? The weekend after New Year's
5. Do you like eggnog? Yes with a bit of nutmeg on top
6. Favorite gift received as a child? As a child.....probably my barbie dolls or the bike I got when I was about 6. (As a teenager...probably my iPod..I literally cried because my parents would never buy something like that for us.)
7. Hardest person to buy for? my younger brother. I never know what he will like
BAHAHAHA! Story of my life!
And Mom informed me tonight that we might be holding off until his birthday. My parent's have their own business and things have been slow so he's made mention of money lately and Mom decided it's not a good time cause he might flip out.
And let me clarify.... MOM is buying dad a porsche, we are helping her find one and that is our contribution! HAHAHA! We're spending like $50 per family member on gifts this year. We've really cut back this year because we are saving for an anniversary trip and we're all a little broke!
6. Favorite gift received as a child? The teddy bear I got from my Uncle Bill when I was in kindergarten. It was the best bear ever and I slept with it every night until it started to fall apart. I now can't sleep without holding something in my arms, so yes...I still sleep with a teddy bear. (Pathetic, I know). Last year my mom found the same bear new on ebay and got it for me for Christmas. 7. Hardest person to buy for? Definitely my Dad. It doesn't help that his birthday is on the 10th so I have to figure out two gifts in one month.
Your not the only one! When I was little I slept with a blanket my great grandma made me every night. Now I have to have a pillow under my arm or I can't sleep lol
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper! Presents are more fun to open if they're wrapped and not in a bag.
2. Real tree or Artificial? Artificial
3. When do you put up the tree? Thanksgiving evening
4. When do you take the tree down? Usually New Year's Day.
5. Do you like eggnog? I've never had it, but I don't plan on trying it.
6. Favorite gift received as a child? I really don't know, probably my cowboy and cowgirl Barbie set that came with a horse.
7. Hardest person to buy for? HH
Don't worry, I am the same way. I have a stuffed lion that DH gave me when we first met each other and I have never slept without it. I have to have it in one of my arms to be able to fall asleep.
So glad I'm not the only one!
