(Speaking of choral concerts below....)
The men of VocalEssence are doing Biebl's Ave Maria at our Welcome Christmas concerts. I know that song holds special meaning for you so if you're free you should come check it out this weekend! :-)
I tell ya - there isn't much better than being surrounded 50+ men singing that song. I get goosebumps at the end EVERY. TIME.!!

Re: ***katematch***
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww, love that song! They played it on MPR today and I was all teary in the car while driving.....
Thanks for the info -- I'll have to head to that post and check out the deets. And I'm super glad to hear that you love it!!!
Oh DUH! Phillip Brunelle is your director! We've done some collaborative stuff with Plymouth Congregational. And also (after looking at the website) Lo How a Rose is my FAVORITE carol -- I see you're singing that! AND Still Stil Still?
Dude. I'll be there. Do you recommend any of the particular performances / venues? And how much are tickets? It's not specified.
Philip is a character. :-)
We're doing a really cool arrangement of Lo How A Rose with lots of cool harmonic humming - very goosebump inducing! And Still Still Still is quite gorgeous as well.
Tonight is at 7:30 Normandale Lutheran in Edina off of 100 and 62. Tomorrow night is at 7:30 at Trinity Lutheran in Stillwater. Sunday is at 4:00 at Plymouth Congregational.
It looks like you can't buy tickets online anymore for tonight's performance. I think it was just about sold out anyway but that is an awesome church so maybe there are still some tickets available at the door? Not sure.
There are some tickets at the Stillwater concert for $23.50/$33.50/$43.50.
There are a few single seats along the wall at Plymouth as well as a few in the balcony for the same prices.
Here is the page where you can buy tickets.

The handbell choir (Twin Cities Bronze) is super duper awesome and there is also a folk violinist that can rock that violin. :-) It's a really great concert - I don't even mind doing it five times. :-)
