...getting pulled over today?
Argh! He was behind me, but I had just passed him up a little bit before "the incident."
Don't worry, it was because I didn't have a current registration tag on. Oh, you mean the one that my dh gave me 3 months ago with the admonishment to put it on that very moment and I said, yeah yeah, I'll do it...? That registration tag? Yep, that's the one.
The thing is, he didn't call me or text or anything, & the CHP had me pull off the freeway... so maybe he was just really oblivious to all the flashing lights and bullhorn telling someone in a car that looked a lot like his wife's to exit the freeway... oh man, I will not live this one down if he actually saw it!!
I'm bright red just thinking about it!
ETA: I found the tag while the CHP officer was there, so no ticket. So feel free to laugh!
Re: What are the chances dh didn't see me...(updated)
That's really kinda funny in a not funny kind of way.
Thanks for sharing...
I had to laugh...totally something that would happen to us...and I'm not laughing at you getting a ticket...but DH is the one that never puts his tags on after I go on and on about it. I hope the ticket isn't too pricey and you both get a laugh...I know I'd have been texting or calling DH if it were me ASAP to gloat (though maybe your DH is a better hubby than I am a wife
Thankfully there was no ticket! Once I found the tags in my center console (amongst the Reeses wrappers that I've hidden) I was free to go. Anyway, since there was no ticket, feel free to laugh laugh laugh. Believe me, if it was reversed, dh would never hear the end of it!!
Same here!
Hmm... the only way to know for sure is if I call him. 'Scuse me, I'll brb.
Ooh, that's a good idea. I seriously should start collecting the #s of Nestie DHs for blackmail purposes! lol
It's awesome that he didn't give you a ticket.
MH was pulled over and had expired tags. The new ones were in the glove compartment, and he showed the CHP, but he still got a fix-it ticket. Oh well.
LOL at the whole story, but especially where you admit the hypocrisy of it all. Because that would be me too, absolutely "I told you so"ing my DH if the tables were turned
Yay for no ticket!!!

Update:
He didn't see me!!!
Now, how do I know this? Because curiosity got the better of me, and I couldn't keep it in and I was afraid Mrs.Shmoopie was going to call him
, and my day just got shittier after that, and I needed to rub in how oblivious he is - so I told him. I think I got some "bad girl" cred out of it, so all is good. We laughed and laughed and I'm so glad he's my dh. He balances me so nicely.
