How do you remove a curse?

So, we got a plan together for the company, have started executing it things were looking better, still not really good, but better.

last night on of our drivers (he's fine, thank god) had an accident and wrote off his truck.   Totally not his fault, the other driver has been charged, but it still means replacing equipment and that takes time and means lost revenue.

I am very, very thankful that the driver is okay.  He's a super nice man.   Holy shizzat, though, not good timing on this one.

Re: How do you remove a curse?

  • Man, you guys just can't catch a break can you?  Sorry Sam. Sad

  • No breaks.   I hope 2011 brings some sort of cosmic shift in our favour.

I really like this driver, too.   He had to swerve to avoid the person who cut him off.   His immediate reaction was to go towards a large embankment, which cause his truck to flip.   he knew if he headed towards the median instead, he would have almost certainly killed people in oncoming traffic.

A lot of people don't understand how their traffic maneovers affect large trucks.   Their loads are maximum of 44,000 lbs.   It's not possible to stop or redirect a big truck like a car when you have that much weight behind you.

So if you see a truck driver today, give him space and wave.  he's just trying to do his/her job safely.

  • Man, that really sucks Sam. What awful timing. (Not that there's a good time for an accident, but you know.)

  • It has to get better soon.

  • Sam,

I am glad your driver is OK, he sounds like a good driver just trying to do his job the safest way possble (members of my extended family drive for outfits out of Qc).  I believe it will get better soon, it has to.
