I know there are a few photographers on here and I was just wondering what everyone uses for photoshoping. C wants to get me one for Christmas and I don't know which program to tell him. I saw the new Adobe and its relatively inexpensive but I'm not sure if its good or easy to use..

Maybe the Elements is what I was looking at.. I Might go with that because I'm just starting to get into Photography and a lot of stuff is still going over my head..
I have PSE8 from the recommendations from people that it's a good starter program. I have a difficult time running it on my ancient computer, so I don't use it too often yet. For me, the program wasn't very intuitive, so I bought a book that is supposed to be very good. I haven't used it yet because I can't really run the program.
I also hear good things about Lightroom. If you're thinking of advancing with your photography a lot, you might want to do that program. It's better for advanced photographers, so I hear.

This.
It will be great starting out for you as a beginner photographer. As you get more advanced you will know what more you are looking for in the software and that will help guide you. I also second the recommendation for Lightroom as you advance. Also there are probably tutorials for PS Elements online. I would check Youtube, and I know there is another site that has awsome video tutorials. I have the link at home. So if you do go that way, let me know I'll see if I can find the site.
