Thrown under the bus!

Argh......I'm going to strangle someone!

So I've been having a client issue since October 22nd. I've sent a minimum of 5 emails to my customer support for help (including one yesterday).

Finally I copied the CEO on the emails and shockingly I got an immediate response from someone to help me. The coworker contacted me via skype and agreed to handle the issue.

He then copied the skype, edited out the information that made them look at fault, and emailed it out to our entire Leadership Team throwing me under the bus. Of course he decided to not copy me on this email. Of course he said that he would step in and fix the situation that I've failed to communicate to the team about.

THANK GOD my former boss (still on the Leadership Team) decided to forward me this email that the coworker sent.

I swear, I flew off the friggin handle. I made Greg fly home from dinner so that I could send a massive email showing the entire unedited skype, plus every single email communication I've had about this account.

I'm so angry I'm shaking.

Both the CEO and my new VP have emailed me apologies saying that it will be taken care of. But I'm still so amazingly p!ssed off at this.

Not cool buddy, not cool.

Re: Thrown under the bus!

  • That's just wrong, I'm glad you former boss sent you the email, and you got it straightened out.

And yes, I would be pissed off too, that's just wrong.

  • Just wait until he comes into work in the morning and checks his email. Unless someone tells him tonight at the Christmas Party, he won't know what hit him.

  • One of my sister's customers just did practically this exact same thing, only the entire thing was on email. Thank goodness someone else included her on the follow up email and she was able to provide the chain of communication too.

What a freaking jackass. I hope he is flat out blindsided. I can just imagine all the blood rushing from his face when he realizes what just happened.

  • What an a$$!!!!!

This is why corporate America is a terrible place!

  • What gets me is that your stupid co-worker actually believed he could get away with this stunt.  Did he really think not one person would say something to you?!  I hope, for your sake, that he's not let off easy.

  • He works in our Seattle office too, so I'm getting delayed gratification until noonish.

I wonder if he'll even respond. I felt like emailing him directly.

Call the A$$hole out. I would be flying off the handle as well.

This is, plain and simple, unacceptable behavior.

    Are we 5 years old?

  • I feel like emailing my entire sales team (really only 6 of us) and warning them to CYA's with him specificially because he's a liar that will manipulate your words.

Then cc'ing him on the email .

    Hahaha...so, maaaaaybe don't do this.

BUT maybe someone on your leadership team could send a CYA email...

Or you could just NOT send it to the douchecanoe. He is making me mad. What's his email? :-)

  • You know... if I remember my Hebrew school correctly... in the story of Purim, Haman tries to frame Mordecai with the king. When the king finds out, he pretends to believe Haman and asks him what he thinks Mordecai's punishment should be. Then he exacts that very punishment on Haman. I like that idea for this guy.

  • I just saw this post this morning. Holy freaking cow. I can't believe that 1.) he thought he'd get away with it, and 2.) he actually did that. I would be pissed to the point of wanting to fly out there and punch him in the face.

I hope the vindication is sweet this morning. That's ridiculous.

    Sorry this ahole did that.

All he did was copy & paste and remove certain incriminating things I wrote about his team failing.

He pasted it into an outlook email.

  • I'm just reading this now, but holy sh!t! I hope he gets in a lot of trouble Someone needs to give him a wake up call that lying is not ok in the professional arena. What an ass. He needs to man up and accept the responsibilities that he failed at his job.
