Remember that student I told you about a couple weeks ago that was suicidal? Well, when I got back from vacation, the director told me she quit dance. According to her mom, she made the dance team at school & that's free, so she's doing that instead. I'm selfishly upset. I completely understand their decision, but how am I supposed to know how's she's doing now?

Jen, maybe the mother will stay in contact w/ the director. This is the student who had financial troubles right? Maybe making the dance team will help her confidence, and maybe the cutting will stop.
Yes, you're thinking of the right girl. I don't think the mom really cares for the director that much to keep in touch.
I hope you're right. Maybe this will be just what she needs.
