Outfit help for the trend challenged.
This is the outfit I am planning on wearing to our work christmas party Saturday night. I am not very fashionable and I basically shopped my closet and pulled this together. My question is what should I put on my legs? Tights, sheer pantyhose, dark pantyhose. I had bought a pair of grey wool tights but they are to short. Help!
Oh and i'm headless because I just pulled it on to see what it looked like.

I don't venture far when it comes to pantyhose/tights. I would stay away from anything dark because the outfit is dark.
I would say sheer pantyhose (but like I said I don't venture far myself!)
I'm sure someone with some serious fashion knowledge on here will have an awesome idea!
So... although I think sheer hose would work, I would probably go with dark tights. I think with the mostly dark outfit, they'd look polished, but still fun. And not breaking up the color between the skirt, legs, and shoes will create a nice long line and be super-flattering.
And for the open toe shoe, I don't think it's really a faux-pas anymore to wear them with tights since opaque tights have become so huge in the past few years. Unless you don't like it, of course...
Another vote for sheer nylons (sandlefoot, since they're open toe shoes).
Although if you really wanted to be fun...

Cute outfit by the way! I would wear a sheer pair of black hose. I don't think I would wear really dark black tights, just sheer black hose. I just think it would look better. Just a side not.... They have subtle lace print hose in a darker turquoise color at Target (similar if not the same as the green in your top) and that would look kind of cool. But again since you have open toed shoes, you may not want to have green toes. But you can totally get away with wearing hose/tights with open toed shoes, especially black hose. That rule is out the window...

I really am not fashionable, you should see my everyday life...jeans and tees, or scrubs lol. I am also diggin the striped tights lol.
