speech on saturday!

Hey guys! i just arrived in tampa for my friends wedding. I got a really bad cold from some of my students this past week and my voice is practically gone. I just hope i can get better by the wedding and can say my speech. Instead of going out to eat with the bride and her family, I am stuck at her house with my sick husband (i made him sick) laying in bed with our meds. I am surprised she let me stay here, I just hope I dont make her sick before she goes on her honeymoon!! :/

Re: speech on saturday!

  • Oh no! Feel better! I bet even if you have to scratchy mumble your way through the speech, it'll be that much more special and memorable. GL!

  • Oh no, I hope you feel better soon! Drink lots of tea with honey, I feel like that always helps!

    And good luck tomorrow Smile

  • :( Feel better soon.  On the bright side, people can't possibly hate your speech.  Who's going to frown and boo at a person with laryngitis?  At best, people will LOVE your speech, and at worst people will pity you enough to love you anyway. :)

This can only work in your favor!

  • Rest up and good luck on your speech!  I had a super scratchy voice for my wedding and half the people just thought I was choked up.  So it's good either way... if they think you're sick, you have the "poor thing" factor going for you.  and if they think you're choked up, you're an even sweeter friend.  Smile  So you win either way.
