Ugh! For real people! As I'm driving down to Portland tonight, feeling pretty good because we were going to get our tree tomorrow, H calls me and says he's going to get a haircut. Ok, but I prefer you wait because I have other priorities. He decides he'll go tonight.
His debit card is declined. WTF? WHY?? He gets to the credit union where they proceed to tell him that there are two charges, FROM ITALY!!! These were done yesterday in the middle of the morning, when we are both at work.
So his card is deactivated and we can't spend anything until this is resolved. I know we didn't do the charges but I'm so afraid that the CU won't make this go our way.
It just feels like the cards have not played in our favor in a really long time and I'd like a break please.
Thanks ![]()

That is frustrating for sure! I'm sure your bank will take care of it, but it's such an inconvenience in the meantime.
Things like this are the reason I almost never use my debit card. I put everything on credit cards and pay them off each month; credit cards offer better fraud protection and if a fradulent charge comes through, it doesn't affect my bank balance.
