have just come out of the oven. One of them spread a bit more than I would have liked, but I guess that one will become the bottom of my ginormous chipwich birthday "cake" (for my husband and mom) that I'm making for my family's little party tomorrow.
I've taken pictures of each step, well, once the cookie batter was divided between my two cookie sheets. The cookies are currently taking a little chill in the fridge before I'll tackle removing them from their pans, and the ice cream is in my springform pan (thanks to my sister for picking it up for me today!!) in the freezer. I plan to assemble the whole thing right before serving it tomorrow.
My chipwich-loving husband is going to LOVE this one! Best cake ever ![]()
I'll post pictures on Monday!

Re: Biggest Cookies I've ever made...
that sounds awesome, can't wait to see pics and hear how much brian loves his "birthday chipwich"
btw - PW's malted milk chocolate cookies would make awesome ice cream sandwiches (but they'd just be normal sized so not quite as impressive as your cookie/cake)
This is the recipe I used... http://www.instructables.com/id/Giant-Ice-Cream-Cookie-Sandwich/
It's like 1.5 Tollhouse Cookie recipes, for two cookies!!!! That link has images, but we'll see how mine actually comes out.
