My company Christmas party is tonight. We needed to leave at 3:30 to be at my IL's house (I work with my MIL) at 4:15 so we could leave and be there by 5 when it starts. DH decides he's going to go get a haircut at 2:45! Now it's almost 3:45 and he's just getting dressed. Men!
Also, the pants I'm wearing used to be super loose, like would slip off if I pulled them hard enough. Now they barely button.
There better be dessert at this party, I need something to make me feel better!
Re: DH vent
My sister's H is like that...he will mess around all day and then right when they need to leave...he says he has to shave. ??
If there isn't dessert, let me know and I will box up some of the sugar cookies I made today and ship them up there.
Rodgers is kind of like that, too. He waits until I'm totally ready to get up and get himself ready. I always assume (I must be dense because I never learn) that he's already ready and that's why he's just sitting there. He goes to the bathroom. He brushes his teeth. He looks at himself in the mirror for a good 45 seconds while deciding if he needs lotion, deodorant, or cologne. Then, he decides to change his clothes. Then, he finally starts putting his shoes on and decides to go ahead and take out the trash. By now, it's about 20 minutes past when we were supposed to be wherever we were going. I'm like, aren't women supposed to be the ones who are slow to get ready? Actually, it may take me longer to get ready than him, but I get ready before we're supposed to leave, and he starts getting ready when we're supposed to leave.
Well, surely there will be dessert!
Oh yes, I missed that part of the post somehow.
At 8 weeks, I had to have a Bella Band in order to wear pants. At 12 weeks, I broke out maternity pants.
I have a pair of maternity jeans, but couldn't wear them per the dress code. It was all good though, there was yummy food and cake!

Yeah, my pants are CRAZY tight now.
I still can button 2-3 pairs of my jeans, but my work pants are questionable. Bella Band was worn for the first time this w/e.
How was the party?
It went surprisingly well. Most of the higher ups got drunk, there was dancing on a table, and karaoke. We skipped out on the after party at the VFW since I was sober and didn't feel like hanging out with a bunch of drunk people. I think that no one noticed me not drinking, but MIL did give the side eye to one of my drinks at one point. I drank coke all night and said that it was a rum and coke.
My boss also mentioned having me work in the new office, and negotiating a possible cost of living pay raise since the office is 45 min away from me. We also talked to him about hiring DH for something, and he sounded pretty positive about that. So all around it was a good night!
