Crazy out there!

I live in the city and have seen SO many cars get stuck in front of my house all day long. Now my DH is out there with about 15 neighbors literally shoveling the street curb to curb so people can move their cars to the other side for the snow emergency. And they're not even worrying about turning around, just get the cars to the other side!

Someone had to stay inside with the kids though, so I'm hanging out watching them drinking a glass of wine:)

Re: Crazy out there!

  • I stayed in with the baby while DH plowed the driveway:)  It took him over 2 hours and he went and helped our poor neighbors who started before DH and were hand shoveling.

I ran to the store earlier today and I couldn't see more than 10 ft in front of and I couldn't tell where the curbs were.  It was all white.

  • I am in the city too and had to laugh when I saw people on skis and snow shoes.  Some were out for leisure while others had grocery bags with them :)

Neighbors were trying to get their cars off the streets last night around 10 with the help of a snowblower. . .

  • Our cars were snug in our garage, but our neighbors next door were out trying to get their cars off the street. We went out to help them, and three hours later got their car into our driveway. (We have an alley) And when we woke up this morning our alley neighbor had snowblowed our driveway so our neighbors could put their cars in our driveway. (They only have a one-car garage, so we let them use our driveway during snow emergencies) It was crazy.
  • We had people snowmobiling last night down our street!  Looked like fun, wish I had one just for this weekend!
