Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. Glass etching
Since DH is at a rugby training thing all afternoon, I took advantage of his absence and made his beer mugs. I ended up putting "The Shannon's Pub," and below it, I put "Est. 12-21-07."
So here are my thoughts. While I like the idea of buying reusable stencils (which is why I did), I forgot it would be a HUGE pain to make sure each letter lines up just perfectly and that the words are straight. There also seems to be extra space between each letter. So if you're thinking of doing this project...just make your own stencil out of contact paper or something.
Second...if you're going to use a stencil, make sure it has enough of the letters you need. There are 3 n's in our last name, but the stencil set only had two. So I had to do our last name in two separate steps. That was a pain.
But...after an hour and a half, they're done. And I think they look okay. I've already wrapped them in a gift bag, but I'll post a pic after I give them to DH next weekend.

I have been debating doing this for my brother for Christmas, but I made him other things so I might make this for his birthday next year.
