Any suggestions??

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for the person who has everything!! Every year I dread christmas because i never know what to get my brother. He is a general manager for best buy and has worked there since he was 16 (he is 34 now) so he has EVERY movie imaginable, he buys himself and his wife anything electronic that they want/need. I sometimes struggle with my sister in law also because he buys her anything and everything throughout the year that best buy sells, but she is a girl so its a little easier to get her random stuff. If anyone has any good ideas, please share!! If worse comes to worse, i thought about getting him a gas card and a few bottle of alcohol because i know he will use it at least!

Re: Any suggestions??

  • Would you be opposed to making it a joint gift for your bro and SIL?  You could buy them a gift card for a restaurant and also one for a movie theater, a la date night!  You could put the gift cards in a big popcorn bowl with a couple bags of popcorn to make it extra cute :)

  • What about a magazine subscription.

I like this idea, and actually I like Teresa's magazine subscription idea also. My dad sounds like your brother, in the way that they're impossible to buy for, so I understand. Is there any other hobby or something like that that he/they enjoy and you could get them something having to do with that?

  • I like the idea of the dinner/movie gift cards. I am sorry I am really no help, I have no good ideas for xmas presents and usually suck in this department.

  • I like the dinner/movie idea.  Also, what about an "of the month" club?  Do a google search and different websites come up with lots of different kinds. Beer, chocolate, wine, hot sauces, fruit, etc.

  • Does he like things that best buy doesn't sell?  This year I bought my brother a few books and a sweater.  Things he needs but won't really buy himself.
  • thanks for all the suggestions! i actually did the movie/gift card idea last year and i thought about doing that again just cause they have a 2 year old and dont get to go out much so i always offer to babysit when i do something like that. i never thought about a magazine subscription...i just texted my sis in law to see if he gets any...and i love the "of the month" club so im going to google some stuff right now. My brother isnt really into books besides cookbooks so that is another idea i can use...thanks so much! any more suggestions...keep them coming!
  • I have no suggestions, but I empathize with you. My FIL is impossible to get a gift for. He's wealthy so he has everything he could ever want and more. Gift cards are out because he throws them all in a drawer and never uses them and gives them away to people. The only gift I ever picked out for them that I actually see them use is a wine holder. It's a butler that holds the wine bottle as if he's pouring it in his mouth. We still don't know what we're getting him this year.
