So, I was at my mom's tonight and we were looking at two Christmas cards-one formmy aunt and one from my cousin. Both have pictures of only my cousin's baby. Very cute, but I said, "why not have pics of the family?" "It's just the baby?" Well..
My younger sister who just got engaged to her first and onyl bf, said, "well when you have kids you will be then same way." Uh, no I won't-I explained that people whould never loose themselves when they have kids. She said you mean IF, not when you have kids.
My mom, said uh, you mean when, then sister mumbles, no IF.
She has made snarky comments before, like bc DH and I are "gasp" 28 w/out kdis, she, who is 22 and barely engaged, can comment?
WWYD?
Re: Comments about DH and I not having kids yet
Thanks-it's hard because DH and I want kids, but I am sooooo over people acting like/making comments about us not having kids...I mean, I am 28! Leave me the F alone!
I wouldn't say anything about it....until she gets divorced. Then I'd be sure to bring it up.
"So, how's it going for you and the kids, all alone?"
I've noticed with my friends when their kids are babies/toddlers they just put the baby's picture on the card. Then as the kids get older they've been doing pics of the whole family. It's preference, I think, more than anything.
As for your sister, I'd just ignore her, or just to mind her own GD business. I can't stand young people who think having kids is a race against time, rather than a blessing to the family that comes when the time is right.
This! We have two dogs/two cats.....good idea....
Adorable kitty BTW!
