Well, it finally started snowing here. Unfortunately, since it rained most of yesterday, the roads are a giant ice slick covered in snow. That =/= a nice drive to work.
We had a pretty laid back weekend. Derek framed in for the fireplace while I worked on caulking various parts of trim. We found out on Saturday that our flooring has been in for almost a week. Apparently the guy called us? Um no you didn't. Either way, we're picking it up today! It needs a few days to acclimatize to our house, but I'm going to have real floor by the weekend!!!! (sorry, this really excites me, it been a year)
How was everyone's weekend?

We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?

Re: Good Morning!
Saturday I got some errands done, but for the most part, we slept a lot this weekend. There's just something about a cute movie, warm blankets and a comfy couch. There's no getting out of that awake.
Our town was on the news for some serious flooding yesterday. I'm so grateful that this wasn't snow, because we'd probably be buried today. Although, that'd mean no work, but still. It looked like my house was surrounded by oceans yesterday. Fun fun.
Raynes: Sounds like you're getting that storm that we had this weekend.
This weekend was pretty tame, we went to dinner Friday with my mom, but Saturday and Sunday it was just us. Sean called into work Sunday so he could be home with me, also we were told we'd be getting a foot of snow, that didn't happen.
Today it as cold as ever and I am not going outside, until Sean gets home and we go to the gym.
Morning ladies. Thank god we only got a lot of rain and wind this weekend. We did get a mix which caused for lots of slippery roads yesterday morning.
My weekend was crazy busy, and this coming weekend will be the same. Friday night I had a major migraine and ended up spending the evening on the couch. Saturday I shopped all day. Note to self, be sure to check when Toys R Us is having huge sales and STAY AWAY. I have my Christmas shopping about 97% done. I only need a few stocking stuffers for my mom.
Saturday evening my BFF and his partner came over, and once the boys were down it was great to just hang with them. I was up until 1:00 a.m. then up again at 5 as the boys decided they wanted to play. So yesterday I was beyond exhausted trying to get housework done, and deal with fussy babies.
Looking forward to another crazy weekend next weekend, but this one I can't stop smiling about.
Nice weekend over here. We went to our cookie party on Saturday, which was fun. My cookies didn't turn out as well as they usually do since I tweaked the recipe a bit, so I'm going back to the tried and true way of making them. I got a ton of reading done, which was great, and managed to get to the gym. Sunday we put up the tree and just relaxed since we got home at 2:30am after the party. Yikes.
The morning commute was awful thanks to delays and smoke at one of the stations. Let's hope the rest of the day isn't like that.
A floor is good.
We had a party yesterday from 4:00 - 7:00 and it sucked all of the energy right out of me. I was asleep on the couch at 9:00. I got up long enough to put the food away and then staggered off to bed.
Unfortunately, J woke up this morning with a fever and cough. He said he was feeling better when I left for work, but I am skeptical. I really hope he doesn't have the flu and I have to try not to catch whatever it is. I may banish him to the guest room.

Good morning, ladies.
We spent the weekend in Denver at my daughter's cheer competition. Two days of waiting for them to do their 2.5 minute performance twice. But, I got a lot of reading done, and had some good times with her and her friends. And we had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, so that was a bonus.
Four more workdays left this year. I cannot express how badly I need this time off, since next year is going to be worse than this year was. DH asked me what I'm going to do with my time off, and I said "anything I darn well please".
Made me very glad I drove this morning when I heard this on NPR.

We had a great weekend in Vienna - rainy but beautiful, and MIL was like a kid in the candy store with all of the Christmas decorations. The cold and wet did not do well for my cold though, so I'm still dragging today. After a few well-timed coughs, though, my boss has encouraged me to head home, so I'll probably be heading out in another hour. MIL left this afternoon, which means I will have some nice alone time when I get home.

Good morning all!
This weekend was kind of busy. On Friday night I went to the choir school concert with a friend of mine (the same school that V attended). We absolutely loved it, especially the gr. 3/4 elementary choir. There's always the kid who sings with his hands in his pockets, the kid who looks around aimlessly, and the kid who struts on stage with his chest puffed and waves to his mom on the way out. So cute. The older choirs were great too.
We had a rehearsal on Saturday and a concert last night. I'm so glad I finally got to sing! But now that the Christmas concert season is over for me, I'm really looking forward to just relaxing.

This week is going to be a breeze... with the exception of the huge amount of marking I'm going to attempt to get done before Christmas holidays.

Today I have an eye exam. This weekend I finished all my Christmas shopping. Tomorrow Gibson has a concert at school. I'm so excited I could pee my pants. I bought a camcorder so watch out videos!
Morning!
We got a TON of snow this weekend, and today it's just blowing around and it's freezing outside. I shovelled the driveway twice already since yesterday, and I shovelled out a section of the backyard so the dogs can pee and poop. Other than snow, we had a pretty calm weekend, which was nice.
This week is exciting because Thursday is my first midwife appointment. I'm so nervous and excited!
